City Square Lam Vien (Lam Vien Square) is another central place in Dalat along with Xuan Huong Lake and The city market, which can be safely called the tourist heart of the city and the starting point. Various city and cultural events are held here, it is an important center of Dalat's cultural life, as well as a shopping destination. It is decorated with original architectural buildings-pavilions resembling a yellow sunflower and a green artichoke shoot. The use of floral motifs in construction is not for nothing, because Dalat is called the city of flowers. The square has a wide staircase leading from the lower square to the park, shopping and gaming areas.
Lam Vien Square is a must-visit and walk around the city, especially in the evenings. Streams of locals and tourists flock here for shopping and entertainment, because on the ground floor under the sunflower there is a large shopping center with many departments and goods for every taste, a large supermarket Go (formerly Big C), an entertainment center for adults and children, a cinema. At the top of the shop on the square is the Dalat Opera House, which has become one of the new architectural symbols of the city. There is also another architectural landmark – a restaurant in the building in the form of an artichoke.
In general, Lam Vien Square is a place for pleasant and useful walks at any time of the day. The open space of the square and the park square allows you to relax and unwind with family and friends. Lots of places to take pictures. From the top flight of stairs there is a good panoramic view of the lake and the square.
