Description and is it worth a visit
The northernmost point of the island of Sri Lanka Point Pedro (Point Pedro) is a landmark for tourists. Here, at the tip of sakkotei cape, there is a sign indicating that this is the northernmost point of the island, and tourists usually take selfies against its background. Indeed, to visit here, and ideally also at the southernmost point (this is Cape and Dondra Lighthouse) seems like a rather interesting idea. But you should be prepared for a little disappointment. Unfortunately, this place is not at all picturesque, like Cape Dondra. Around the mud, and views of the ocean and the coast will not please you at all.
By the way, you can visit even further than the officially designated North Point. To do this, you can walk knee-deep in the water to go to one of the stone reefs, which are a hundred meters along the shore from Point Pedro, or at low tide just go further behind the sign.
