Districts and hotels of Zheleznovodsk - where to stay

Zheleznovodsk is a small city in size, its length is slightly more than five kilometers, and therefore at first glance it seems that any of its districts will be suitable for vacation accommodation. However, everything is not so simple, and if you choose the wrong location of your hotel or sanatorium, you may not live up to your expectations of rest. So, the city of Zheleznovodsk is conditionally divided into two large districts: a resort area and a residential area.

Resort area of Zheleznovodsk

This is a small compact area located at the entrance to the city from Inozemtsevo (tourist area on the map). It is here that the entire tourist infrastructure of the resort is concentrated, hotels and sanatoriums, medical pump rooms, Resort Park and Resort lake, as well as most of the city's attractions and healing trails areterrencours. If you settle here, then within walking distance you will have all the amenities and tourist delights of this cozy resort, and you will not need transport to move at all.

Residential or new area of Zheleznovodsk

This is a larger area that is separated from the resort area by a distance of a little more than half a kilometer (new district on the map). Residential houses of local residents and businesses are mainly located here, and there seems to be no place for tourist accommodation at all. However, quite a lot of private accommodation for vacationers is rented in a residential area – these are apartments, rooms and even whole houses. Moreover, the prices offered are very good, and not only by the standards of Zheleznovodsk, but in general, there are probably the lowest prices for accommodation among all the resorts of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.

However, when placing here, you should be prepared for some inconveniences on vacation. So, in the residential area there is only one single Western drinking pump room, which also works according to a very inconvenient schedule for only one hour three times a day. There are no attractions and at least some tourist attractions here either. Therefore, you will have to get out of here to the resort area every day, or even several times a day. If you are on vacation by car, then there will be no problems with this. In other cases, you will have to use city buses (travel from 20 USD), taxis (travel from 100 USD) or walk on foot. For a reference point, from the center of the residential area to the Resort Park and pump rooms in it, you will have to walk three kilometers in one direction each time.
