Resort or medical Park - this is the main attraction, and a place to relax, and, perhaps, the main entertainment for those who stayed in Zheleznovodsk or are being treated in one of the local sanatoriums. The park has long been abandoned by the authorities, but since 2018, repair work has been carried out here. It has become an attractive and convenient place for vacationers, but keep in mind that this is not a place for picnics and entertainment, it is still a park of a slightly different purpose.
The park was founded almost two hundred years ago almost simultaneously with the founding of the city. Initially, it was called the "stone garden", and its main purpose was, like the entire resort – treatment and recovery of terrenkur. This is a method of treatment with light physical exertion during pedestrian loads, including mountainous terrain. And the Natural Park in Zheleznovodsk is better suited for this. On its 70 hectares there are paths for walking, gazebos, lakes, and of course healing mineral springs. During walks you can enjoy not only clean air and nature, but also Man-Made Beauty: Palace of the Emir of Bukhara, Pushkin galleries, cascading stairs, fountains, sculptures.
There are three hiking trails in the park, called "terrenkurs" here, as well as a trail to the top of Zheleznaya mountain. If you will be treated in a sanatorium, then experts will recommend you suitable for daily walks. You can also walk on any of the tracks yourself depending on your fitness. On them, among other things, you can walk to two famous caves: the cave of permafrost and primitive man.

the park does not have borders and fencing as such, it occupies a large area on the outskirts of the tourist area and covers the slopes and surroundings of Mount Zheleznaya (Park on the map. Several stairs lead to the most beautiful and equipped part of the park from Tchaikovsky and Parkovaya streets, and you can get to terrenkury from other parts of the city. There are maps and signs everywhere, so don't get lost.
