What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Palace Of Emir Of Bukhara -this is the main architectural and Historical sights of Zheleznovodsk. It is made in the Oriental architectural style, and appeared here at the beginning of the last century (construction from 1907 to 1912) as the residence of the Emir of Bukhara Abdul-Ahadkhan. But the emir did not live to see the completion of the construction, and the palace under construction passed to his heir, the son of Tyur-Jan-Mirza-Alim Khan. But he did not use the residence for recreation, because he considered this place unhappy because of the death of a worker during construction (according to another version, because of the death of his father). The very next year after the construction was completed, he donated it to a charitable society, which opened a women's hospital in the palace. But already in 1914, with the outbreak of the First World War, an infirmary was equipped here. In the Soviet period, the building again became a sanatorium, then a hospital.
Unfortunately, as of 2019, the palace can only be viewed from the outside, since it is under restoration. In 2020, it is planned to open a hotel here, after which it can be viewed inside, but whether the interior will repeat the original, and whether the opening will take place at all, we do not know.
