Winter Square or S.I. Venchagov Square near the Winter Theater is a small green park that would probably be completely unremarkable in comparison with other beautiful squares and parks of central Sochi, if not for a pond with a large number of turtles. We didn't count them, but it feels like there are several dozen of them living here. Red-eared turtles, of course, spend most of their time in the water, but sometimes they crawl out to bask in the sun on the rocks and even crawl along the paths of the park. So during the walk, be careful not to accidentally step on it. In addition to turtles, there is also a beautiful landscaping in the park, decorated with flowers during the flowering season. Nearby there is a beautiful historical building of the Winter Theater, a Seaside Park and a free drinking pump room.

🚶 How to get there
The square is located in central Sochi next to the Winter Theater (square on the map). You can get here from anywhere in central Sochi on foot or by public transport to the Winter Theater bus stop.
From remote resorts and districts of Sochi it is easiest to get here as part of a sightseeing tour of the city, including a walk through the Park. If you want to do it yourself, you can take the train to the railway station in the center of Sochi and walk from there, take a taxi or buses.
