What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Livadia beach or the beach under the Livadia Palace is one of the most remote and abandoned beaches, which we refer to the center of Yalta. It is located three kilometers from the seaport and the center (Livadia on the map), and is difficult to access, you can only get to it on foot.
Its length is about 800 meters, but, unfortunately, it is divided into short sections by transverse concrete breakwaters, so walking along the shore along the water's edge will not work here. Of the advantages, it is worth highlighting much more transparent water than in the center, and a more or less beautiful landscape, since the green hill of Livadia Park stretches along the entire coast. But the most important thing that attracts some vacationers here is its sparseness. Of course, sunbathing naked, as on a nudist beach, will not work here, but you can find a free and secluded place even during the peak season in July and August, when everything is crowded in the center.
There is a concrete promenade along the shore, but it is in very poor condition: it looks dilapidated and ugly, and there are ugly concrete structures in the water to strengthen the shore. The infrastructure and leisure facilities here are very poorly developed, there is almost nothing. There is not even a rental of sun loungers, so going here on vacation you need to take everything with you. Another unpleasant feature of Livadia beach is the early shade, because already at five in the evening the sun hides behind the hills, it is no longer possible to sunbathe and it becomes cool.
There are several mid-priced hotels in the Livadia area, and several of them are right next to the beach. However, to get to the shore from Livadia, you will have to go down, and back to overcome a considerable climb.

🚶 How to get there
Livadia beach is located three kilometers from the center of Yalta (Livadia beach on the map). You can walk here along the coast, walk for almost an hour in one direction. Along the way, you will have to pass through a narrow passage between the fences of the sanatorium, topped with barbed wire, which is not very pleasant for a walk around the resort.
There is no way to get directly to the beach by transport, unless by bike. But you can partially shorten the walking distance and first take city buses to Livadia Palace for 28 rubles on city buses №№ 100, 102, 115, 122, 132. You need to go to the stop "Livadia (Palace)" or "City Hospital", and then go down to the beach for a kilometer along the footpaths of Livadia Park from a height of more than 100 meters. You can also use small walking electric vehicles that carry tourists along the footpaths from the palace to the beach for 150 rubles / person, but they are available only in high season.
