Not everyone knows that Yalta is not only a beach resort and entertainment center of the Crimea, but also a therapeutic balneological and climatic resort. You can improve your health in one of the local sanatoriums, but it is very difficult to get into them: prices for accommodation and treatment are high, and vouchers are distributed through trade unions and enterprises. But it doesn't matter, because if you want to perform health-enhancing procedures, you can do it completely free of charge. Climatic treatments are provided by the sea, fresh air, mountains in the neighborhood, and, of course, a good mood. And balneological procedures with therapeutic mineral water can be carried out from a public and free source of mineral water in the Seaside Park. This place is called "Pump room in the Seaside Park".
The pump room was opened in 2004 to celebrate the city day. Water comes from a depth of 50 meters, so it is saturated with useful trace elements – chloride and sulfate salts of potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium. It has an unpleasant odor due to the presence of hydrogen sulfide in it, which is useful for the body in small doses.
The pump room is located in the open air and is made in the form of a marble column with six spout taps. You can pour water from them completely freely and in any quantities, but there is no point in taking a lot of it with you, because it deteriorates within about a day: sediment and an even more unpleasant odor appear, the healing properties are lost. So it's best to come to the pump room and drink fresh water right away, especially since there are benches around for convenience. Overdo it with the amount of water you drink is also not worth it, otherwise the benefits may turn into harm. It is better to consume one full glass at a time, and do so several times a day.

The pump room is located in a Seaside park just over a kilometer from the central part of Yalta embankment and the port (Pump room in Primorsky Park on the map). It is easy and pleasant to walk here along Yalta naberzhnaya, and from other parts and districts of the city you can take buses No. 9a, 19, 122, 132 and 135 to the Colonnade stop.
