How to get to Saki

Saki is 40 kilometers from the airport (Saki on the map of Crimea), and is connected to it and major cities and resorts of Crimea by frequent bus service, and with the city of Simferopol also by rail, there are quite a lot of options to get here on a budget. There is also a bus service to cities on the mainland of the Russian Federation, and the ability to get by train on a single Russian Railways ticket, but with a transfer in Yevpatoria. By plane

You need to get to Saki by plane through Simferopol airport, so far the only operating passenger airport of the peninsula. There are a lot of flights to this airport from Moscow , St. Petersburg, from the regions of the Russian Federation. You can fly, including with a transfer in Moscow, just make sure that you have a connecting flight without changing the airport.

Flight prices are reasonable and quite compete with a train ride on a single ticket, but it is better to buy tickets in advance, even before the start of the season.

• Taxi

  The most convenient way is of course a taxi, which is especially important if you are going for treatment. The trip will cost from 1200 rubles. Taxis can be found at the counter at the airport, or at the exit from the terminal to negotiate directly with the Cabmen. We do not recommend the latter option, since prices are inflated, especially during the high season, and you need to be able to bargain. Better still order an official taxi.

  If you want everything to be organized upon arrival, you can book a tourist transfer. In fact, this is also a taxi, but with great comfort and increased service. When ordering, you can immediately indicate the need for chairs for transporting children, as well as in the comments to ask to include additional conditions, for example, if you need help to move the disabled. • Bus

  This is also a convenient option to get from the airport, and much cheaper than a taxi ride if you travel alone. There are direct buses directly to the bus station in the city center (bus station on the map), and there are routes to Yevpatoria that pass through the city on Yevpatoria highway without stopping at the bus station, but drop off passengers within the city. Travel costs from 80 rubles, and the journey is only 45 minutes. Whichever option you choose, you will have to get to the bus station or disembark on the highway, then to the resort area with hotels you will have to take a taxi or city buses No. 3 or No. 4.

  If you can not get on a direct bus from the airport, you can go through Simferopol. To do this, you need to take city buses or trolleybuses to the bus station as-2 Kurortnaya (12-20 rubles, 30-40 minutes on the way), and from there buses to Saki depart every 15 minutes, cost 80-120 rubles, depending on the comfort of transport.

  Also near the Kurortnaya bus station is the railway station, from where trains cost 80 rubles depart three times a day. This is not the best option to go to Saki, because there are trains longer than buses (1 hour 15 minutes), and the railway station in Saki is further from the center (railway station on the map). To Saki from Evpatoria

From Evpatoria to Saki can only be reached from the bus station of Evpatoria, city buses do not go here. Flights depart every 10-15 minutes, so there is no need to adjust to the schedule, you can just come and buy a ticket for the next flight, although sometimes you have to skip one or two buses, because tickets can be sold out. Both suburban and intercity buses run along the route, standing from 30 to 50 rubles, go 20-40 minutes. From other cities of Crimea

Saki can also be reached from other cities and resorts of the Crimea. There are direct bus flights from Sevastopol, Yalta, Bakhchisaray, Dzhankoy, Kerch. But most often you can get faster and cheaper with a transfer in Simferopol at the bus station Kurortnaya-2. From this bus station, buses to Saki depart every 15 minutes, cost 80-120 rubles.

By train on a single ticket

According to a single Russian Railways ticket (train+bus), you can not get directly to Saki, Russian Railways does not offer such options. But there is a single ticket to Yevpatoria, and buses pass through Saki, and you can ask to drop you off in the city on the Yevpatoria Highway. Even if the driver refuses this, you can get to Yevpatoria, and there at the bus station take a suburban bus and get to the bus station in Saki for only 30 rubles.

By car

If you travel by car, then after entering the peninsula on the bridge to the city you will have to drive another 260 kilometers, which will take at least 5 hours. It is better to go through Simferopol.

By rented transport

Another great option to get to Saki from the airport is to rent a car.
