Attractions and entertainment in Saki

There are almost no interesting places for tourists in Saki. To see everything, one day is enough. But you can go to Evpatoria, where there are many more attractions and entertainment (see sights of Evpatoria). The cities are connected by suburban and intercity buses, so it will not be difficult to get there and back during the day, it will take 30-40 minutes on the road in one direction. If you prefer to see the sights not independently, but with excursions, then in Saki you can buy sightseeing tours to all the most interesting places of the peninsula. You can buy them in hotels or from distributors on the beaches.

The city also does not abound in tourist entertainment. On the beach you can find traditional water activities, in in the village of coastal nearby is one of the best water parks of the Crimea "Banana Republic". In the evening you can sit in one of the cafes or restaurants, walk along the beach, but as such there is no tourist walking area or promenade. Night recreation is poorly developed: there are several nightclubs, but they are more focused on local youth than on tourists.

Kara-Tobe Museum

Kara-Tobe is a museum of the ancient Greek-Scythian settlement and a place of active archaeological excavations. Excavations indicate that the first Greek settlement on this site arose in the 4th century BC and was called Eupatorion. In total, the settlement survived six periods: Greek, Scythian, Greco-Pontic, second Scythian, third Scythian and fourth Scythian. All these periods ended in the early 2nd century AD, when the settlement was abandoned for centuries. People returned to him only after the Great Patriotic War, when the military erected an observation post and a communications center on the hill (Kara-Tobe translates as "Black Hill"). Sasyk-Sivash Lake

Sasyk-Sivash lake can be interesting for tourists for three reasons. The first is the largest lake in the Crimea and one of the most picturesque. In good weather, you can see a beautiful pink shade in its waters, so tourists often come here to see and photograph a wonderful fantastic landscape. Another reason is that you can swim in the lake. It is so salty that it is impossible to drown in it, and due to the shallow depth it warms up very well, and you can swim comfortably in it in mid-May. And finally, the third reason to come to the lake – its healing black mud. Saka city park

It occupies an area of 23 hectares. Once it was the pride of the townspeople, more than 80 species of various trees grew on its territory, two artificial ponds were created, two of which exactly repeat the outlines of the Black and Azov seas. Unfortunately, today the park is in a neglected state, but restoration work is underway.

Church Of St. Elijah

Located in the central part of the city, just a few steps from the bus station, it is the main gram in Saki. It was built at the beginning of the last century, but a few years after that its existence was threatened due to the change of power. In the 30s, the domes were removed from it and converted into a club, despite the fact that the locals actively defended it. In the process of re-equipment, many elements of the architectural appearance disappeared. But the most amazing thing with this temple happened a little later. During the Great Patriotic War, when the city was captured by the Germans, at the request of local residents, they were allowed to hold services in the church. After the end of the war, the Soviet authorities did not dare to ban the work of the temple again, and it serves in this form to this day.

Banana Republic water park

This water park is located not in Yevpatoria itself but on its outskirts, almost in the village Pribrezhnoe on the seashore. It is believed that this is the largest and best water park in the Crimea, at least, so its creators believe. The slides here are the highest and there are a lot of them, the territory of the water park is huge, there is a swimming pool, a cafe, etc. The water park will be interesting not only for children, but also for adults.

True, there are also disadvantages. Slides are not only new, there are also old and not the safest. In peak season, queues reach 30 minutes. Prices in the dining room are high, while you can not carry anything with you. Saxony Aquacomplex

This is an entertainment complex with a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, children's playground, Recreation Area and restaurants. Equipped with sun loungers, changing rooms, storage rooms, showers. As stated, the pool is filled with mineral water, and heated. You can come here for adults and children, swim and have fun, but all this is not free, prices are quite high, especially at hourly rates. It is better to buy a subscription for the whole day.
