How to get to Feodosia

Feodosia is located on the southeastern shore of the Crimean Peninsula (on the map). From the capital of Crimea, the city of Simferopol and the main airport of the region to it 115 kilometers.

From the cities of Crimea you can get here by bus or train, and from other cities of Russia by bus, by plane through Simferopol, or by train on the "single ticket" of Russian Railways with a crossing through the Kerch crossing. Details about all methods:

By plane

The nearest airport to Feodosia is in Simferopol. It operates many flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions of the Russian Federation. Prices for flights are acceptable, and due to state subsidies quite compete with TRAIN prices. Prices from the regions are not always low, but you can pick up good flights with a transfer in Moscow.

How to get to Feodosia from Simferopol airport

From Simferopol airport Feodosia can be reached by taxi or bus:

• Taxi

  

  A taxi ride will take no more than 2 hours, but will cost from 2500 rubles. A taxi stand can be found on the street when exiting the arrival terminal. There are also many private traders offering their services. With private traders, and indeed with taxi drivers, you need to bargain very hard, since they initially call prices several times higher than the real one. And do not forget to make sure that you have agreed on the price for the car, and not for the person, otherwise you will become a victim of the traditional taxi driver "divorce". In order not to get into such trouble, you can order a transfer in advance through the search form:

• Car rental

  If you prefer complete freedom of movement, you can rent a car in Feodosia. You can also rent a car directly at Simferopol airport, and use it to get to the resort or continue your journey along the peninsula. Cost from 1800 rubles per day. In high season, it is recommended to book a car in advance, which can be done through the search form and compare the cost of rental of different companies:

• Bus

  

  By regular buses you can get to Feodosia directly from the airport or through Simferopol (read more, how to get to Simferopol). We recommend using the latter method only if you are not on a direct flight.

  Direct airport buses depart from the airport bus station, which is 50 metres from the terminal exit. Tickets are bought at the box office, the cost is 157 rubles. Departure to 07:45, 08:20, 11:30, 13:25, 18:40, the journey is a little more than 2 hours.

  If for some reason you could not get on the flight and do not want to wait for the next one, then you can easily get to Feodosia through Simferopol. In Simferopol there are two bus stations from where you can go to Feodosia: Kurortnaya station and Central Bus Station. You can choose any of them, but it is easier to make a transfer to the "resort":

  • Via Kurortnaya bus station

    From the airport you need to take almost any transport (bus or trolleybus) to the city, and in 20-30 minutes and for 10-15 rubles you will find yourself at Kurortnaya (see for more information about the Kurortnaya station in Simferopol). From there, buses to Feodosia depart approximately every half hour from 05:00 to 20:00. Cost from 130 rubles.

  • Through the Central Bus Station

    From the airport you need to take the bus 49, 49A or trolleybus 54, 55, the cost is from 10 rubles. From the Central Bus Station, buses depart every 30-60 minutes according to the schedule from 06:00 to 20:00. Cost from 130 rubles.

  In Feodosia, all intercity buses arrive at the bus station on Engels Street (Turk Street, see bus station on the map). It is quite far from the city center in the East, and buses do not pass through the city center. But from here it is easy to get to the center by any city bus. The local transport stop is located on Fedko Street on the left immediately at the exit from the bus station.

By bus

From the cities of Russia, including Moscow, Feodosia can be reached by intercity buses. The cost is slightly lower than by plane or train, but not much. Passengers are transported to the peninsula through the Kerch Bay without changing the bus.

By train, on a "single ticket"

In Feodosia there are railway stations "Aivazovskaya" and "Feodosia", where theoretically you can get from many cities. But at the moment there are only electric trains to Dzhankoy, Kerch and Armyansk.

Russian Railways provide an opportunity to get to Feodosia and other cities of the peninsula by train on a "single ticket". This is a train route to Krasnodar or Anapa and transfer by bus to the final destination via the Crimean Bridge. Prices, especially from the regions, are significantly lower than by plane. Delivery and transfers are organized, the time of docking is minimal. You can buy such tickets at the ticket offices of Russian Railways or on the website rzd.ru/

By boat

In the high season, a high-speed catamaran runs daily between the port of Feodosia and Anapa. The cost is 1500 rubles, children (6-12 years) - 1125 rubles. The journey is 3 and a half hours.

• From Anapa: departure at 8:00, Arrival at 11:00
• From Feodosia: departure at 16:30, arrival at 20:00

From other cities of Crimea

Bus service in the Crimea is well developed, and getting to Feodosia from other cities of the Crimea will not be difficult. It should be borne in mind that it is often faster to get with a transfer in Simferopol than to wait for a direct flight. The most frequent routes: Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yalta, Alushta, Evpatoria.
