Dederkoy - a village and beach resort on the Black Sea coast 13 kilometers from Tuapse (Seven on the map. Administratively belongs to the Tuapse district and is often considered as a remote area or beach of Tuapse, although in fact it is an independent place of rest.

Dederkoi is a very quiet village and beach resort with poorly developed infrastructure and almost no entertainment. In our opinion, this is one of the quietest corners in the Tuapse district, but surprisingly, the beach and tourist attractions here are developed even a little better than in the city of Tuapse. At the same time, you can get to Tuapse from here, if necessary, in just 20-30 minutes by suburban bus, and at the same time you will relax on a clean Pebble Beach far from the city port. So if you want to be on vacation near the infrastructure of a big city and on a good beach, Dedercoy is a good option.

✔ Advantages of the resort

• Environmentally friendly places and clean sea compared to Tuapse.
• A sharp depth just off the coast, if you do not like shallow water.
• It is relatively easy to reach via Tuapse railway station.

❌ Cons of the resort

• Poorly developed infrastructure.
• Little tourist entertainment.
• There are almost no local attractions, only excursions.
• The beach is only pebbly, not suitable for lovers of relaxing on sandy shores.

To get to the beach in Dederkoy, you will have to cross the railway from above or from below under the bridge. The beach here is very long, stretches for many kilometers in both directions from the village. On foot along the shore you can walk to Tuapse (5 kilometers), or in the other direction to the resort village Shepsi (2.5 kilometers) and then even to the resorts of Greater Sochi. If you go left (towards Shepsi, Sochi), then after about half a kilometer you will get to the beach of nudists.

The beach is completely pebbly, although if you go further along the shore, you can find places with sand mixed with pebbles, and not very good places for swimming made entirely of old concrete with protruding rebar. By the way, the coast here is divided by breakwaters, which will not appeal to everyone. The depth is almost everywhere large, five meters already on the shoulders of adults, so keep an eye on the children very carefully. To enter the water and walk along the beach, it is better to buy swimming shoes at the local market for 300-350 rubles per pair.

The central developed part of the beach is small, just a couple of hundred meters, on which there are modest Entertainments and cafes, there are changing booths, a few sun loungers for rent for 200 rubles/day. On the shore in the peak season there is a tent with massage, a children's trampoline and an inflatable slide, they offer to ride the waves on a banana, rent a jet ski or swim on a SUP board.

The infrastructure in the village is minimal, there is only the most necessary. In several stores you can buy food and basic necessities, alcohol and cigarettes. True, prices here are higher than in the usual chain supermarkets, for some popular products almost half. If you really need, you can take a bus or private transport to Tuapse to the shopping center "Red Square", where there is a large supermarket" magnet", you can buy anything there, and the prices are lower.

Near the beach under the bridge there is a small market of souvenirs and goods for recreation, local delicacies are sold. There are also points for the sale of excursions. In fact, the place of access to the beach is the most developed place in the village and its tourist center.

In order to eat inexpensively and deliciously in Dederkoy there will be problems. There are several cafes that are more suitable as a place to eat shish kebab and drink wine, but the kitchen in them is so-so. The only dining room is located at the Central store on Zarechnaya Street. Given this, we recommend choosing accommodation options with your own kitchen and, if possible, Cook Yourself.

There are no ATMs in Dederkoy, the nearest one is in Tuapse. In extreme cases, you can try to withdraw money from the card through the cashier in the store, but there is not always enough cash there. Therefore, it is best to take care of cash in advance, so as not to be on vacation without money.

There are a lot of accommodation options in Dederkoy, but most of them are private housing, which is not even in the booking systems, and which is rented by the owners to regular customers by phone or to arriving tourists already on the spot. In practice, indeed, upon arrival in the village, at least some housing can always be found, but if you want to get suitable accommodation for your needs, it is better to book in advance. And yet, given the difficulties with food and parking space, we advise you to pay attention to this when booking.

By the way, in our experience of traveling to Dederkoi, local residents were seen in a fraud with double rental of housing, when arriving tourists were left without a roof over their heads for already paid reservations. Weather in Dederkoye, tourist seasons

How to get there

The resort and village of Dederkoy is located in the Tuapse District of Krasnodar Krai on the Black Sea coast, 13 kilometers from Tuapse (Dederkoy on the map). The main transport hub through which they get here is Tuapse, where the main railway station for this area is located. By plane or bus they also get with a transfer through Tuapse. The last part of the trip from Tuapse to Dedercoy can be taken by commuter bus, train or taxi.

• By plane

  There is no airport in Tuapse, you can get by plane through the airport of Krasnodar (178 kilometers) or Sochi (127 kilometers). Which of the airports to choose depends on the cost of flights from your region and their schedule (to make it easier to dock with transport directly in Dedercoy). We recommend that you study and consider both options and ways to get from them directly to the resort, and then decide.

  The road from Sochi airport to Dederkoy along the coast is difficult and long, there are often traffic jams. The road can take from 4 to 10 hours, depending on traffic jams, and the trip will not be easy because of sharp acceleration and braking, sharp turns, and therefore not everyone can withstand it. Therefore, if possible, choose a trip by train, especially since they depart directly from the airport.

• By train

  The railway passes through Dederkoi and there is a stop, but long-distance trains do not stop here, only electric trains stop. Therefore, you need to get with a transfer in Tuapse, where all trains going to Sochi and Adler stop. From the railway station in Tuapse, you can finally get to Dederkoy by train or taxi.

• By bus

  The nearest place where you can get by intercity buses is the Tuapse bus station. It can be reached by buses from the cities of the Krasnodar Territory and neighboring regions of the Russian Federation, during the tourist season flights from Moscow and other distant regions are launched. Buses go to at least Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Temryuk, Rostov-On-Don, Essentuki, Mineralnye Vody, Kislovodsk, Astrakhan, Vladikavkaz, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Feodosia, Taganrog, Khasavyurt, Nalchik, Yalta. It is best to check the schedule for long-distance destinations at bus stations and travel agencies in your city, or you can view them on the Websites rasp.yandex.ru and bus.tutu.ru, but not all flights are represented. • By car

  The last 200 kilometers of the way after Krasnodar to Dederkoy can be done on one of two routes. To decide which one to choose, we recommend that you monitor the state of traffic in Yandex. Navigator:

  • Through Dzhubga. An excellent highway with a speed limit of 110 km/h leads to Dzhubga, but after Dzhubga serpentines and resort villages begin, the passage through which is very difficult, especially during the tourist season in the daytime. Even without an accident due to pedestrian crossings and narrowing of roads in the villages, you can get into many hours of traffic jams, and if an accident occurs with a lane lock, then a four-hour trip can easily turn into an eight-hour one.
  • Through Shahumyan pass. An alternative route leads through Khadyzhensk and the Shahumyan pass (Shahumyansky), and allows you to avoid traffic jams on the Dzhubga-Tuapse section. The road here is narrow, but rarely congested. But the problem is that six kilometers of the pass will have to drive along a rocky dirt serpentine road with a minimum speed. This section is very dusty, trucks on it move very slowly, overtaking is difficult and prohibited, so for these six kilometers you will have to spend 30-60 minutes.

Attractions and entertainment, what to see

The only attraction in Dederkoy is the gorge of the Dederkoy River and the waterfalls on it. You can visit it yourself on foot or with excursions on Jeeps or horses, but more on that below. Fortunately, in Dederkoy you can diversify your vacation with inexpensive group excursions to distant attractions, or visit them by public or private transport.

On the beach and the streets near the beach there are several street outlets selling sightseeing tours. You can buy excursions to the famous sights of the Krasnodar Territory, there are sightseeing tours, trips to the mountains, and even sightseeing tours in Abkhazia. Prices are without taking into account the entrance fee to attractions and entertainment. Please note that excursions are not sent every day, so if possible, immediately upon arrival on vacation, study the schedule from distributors and book your favorite tours.

Independently by commuter bus from the stop on the main road (stop by hand on the map) you can go to Tuapse (the bus runs every hour, costs 29 rubles, goes 20-30 minutes), and see a few sights of the city, visit museums. And you can go during the day by train from Dederkoy station near the beach (Station on the map) to the resorts of Greater Sochi up to Krasnaya Polyana and Rosa Khutor.

Entertainment in the village is not much, but, surprisingly, even more than in the district center of the city of Tuapse, at least on the beach. So, during the high season there are trampolines and inflatable slides, there is a rental of boards for SUP-surfing (500 rubles/hour), banana riding (400 USD) and catamaran rental (500 rubles/hour) are offered. Also, as entertainment, private guides conduct walks on Jeeps, ATVs or horses in the immediate vicinity, mainly along the gorge of the Dederkoi River.

There is no evening entertainment in Dederkoy, except that you can sit in one of the quiet cafes and eat a hot barbecue with homemade wine. The only place in the village where at least something happens after dark is the cafe "Cilicia" near the beach, but the repertoire of music of the local "disco" will not suit everyone.
