What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
The Small Baryal Waterfall is formed by the Malaya Machara River and is located next to the Military-Sukhumi Road. You can visit it during a trip to Olginsky waterfalls, at Shakuransky Waterfall or when visiting Chernigovka gorge, since all these attractions are relatively close to each other. But it's not worth going here specifically just for the sake of the Small Baryal Waterfall, because it's very small and not particularly spectacular.
Nevertheless, one of the advantages here is that it is free, and you can see it directly from the road by stopping at the side of the road for just a couple of minutes (but you can see it better if you go down the path under the bridge). Tourists and vacationers rarely come here, and there is a spacious green clearing above the waterfall, where you can have a picnic and even set up a tent.

🚶 How to get there
The Small Baryalsky Waterfall is located on the Sukhumi Military Road, 25 kilometers from Sukhumi and a kilometer further along the road behind the Olginsky waterfalls (waterfall on the map). You can get here only by your own transport or with excursions on the way to the Shakruan Waterfall, and public transport does not go here. The road is asphalt, there are pits on it in places, but in general you can get there without problems by any car.
