Description and is it worth a visit

Vung Tau Weapons Museum

The Robert Taylor Museum of Arms or The Robert Taylor Museum in Vung Tau (Worldwide Arms Museum, The Robert Taylor Museum of Worldwide Arms) is a unique private museum that has no analogues in Vietnam. It will be especially interesting for those who are interested in military history from antiquity to the present.

The museum was created by private collector Robert Taylor, who has amassed a collection of more than 4,000 exhibits worldwide. Weapons of different eras are presented here: from bayonets and blades to machine guns. Also in the museum you can see the costumes and military uniforms of the warriors of Ancient Greece and Rome, crusaders, samurai, as well as the armies of Germany, France, Great Britain, China and Russia. Samples of Soviet weapons and uniforms deserve special attention, but unfortunately there are very few of them here.

The exhibits of the Worldwide Arms Museum are housed in four separate buildings built by the French at the end of the XIX century in the European style. These buildings are a landmark in themselves. All information in the museum is duplicated in English.

On the territory of the museum there is a cafe and a free toilet. At the entrance, visitors are given a card with inspection recommendations. Sometimes the museum owner himself conducts excursions for small groups.

Considering that there are not so many worthy sights in Vung Tau, you should definitely go here. However, in our opinion, some exhibits lack detailed descriptions, and the location of some elements (for example, Soviet soldiers next to the Nazis) may cause confusion among visitors from Russia and the CIS countries.

There is a large collection of old uniforms
Of course, there are weapons
Mainly in the collection of rifles, carbines, pistols

A bit of the Soviet form
Moreover, in the same row with Hitler's fascists
