Mariamman Hindu temple is one of the most important Hindu temples in Saigon. It is also called the temple of the Indian Lady or the Women's Temple. Due to its proximity to the tourist area, it is most often visited by tourists.
It's not easy to see him walking down the street. The blank walls of the temple look unremarkable and simple, so you can pass by the entrance gate. It can be noticed only by the high and brightly decorated traditional tower with many figures depicting Hindu deities.
Inside the Mariamman temple is quiet and sparsely populated. The sacred altar is located in a separate annex in the center, and only priests have access to the sanctuary, through which gifts are given to the deities. You can go around and see the altar and the interior in a circle. There are also other shrines for worship here. On the walls there is information about the main gods.
Perhaps the most memorable thing when visiting Mariamman Hindu temple will be the Fire Sacrifice ceremony, which is held daily at 10:00 and 19:00 and lasts 15 minutes. We will not describe what happens during the ceremony, you will see for yourself if you decide to come in.
In general, this temple is an interesting and beautiful place, and if you have never been to such places, then be sure to come.
When visiting, observe the rules of the dress code: do not enter in open and immodest clothes. Sarongs are not issued at the entrance, so take capes with you. At the entrance you need to take off your shoes and take off your baseball caps. It is forbidden to take pictures inside, especially of the saints on the altar. However, it is still possible to make several common frames on the phone.

Mariamman Hindu Temple is located in the city center and not far from Ben Tan Market at 45 Truong DịNh (Mariamman Hindu Temple on the map). From the tourist area and from Ben Tan, you can get here on foot in 10-15 minutes. From other areas of Ho Chi Minh City it is better to go by taxi or bus. If you do not understand the local routes, then you can use Google maps to find the bus number. A taxi ride around the city will cost from 30,000 VND (1.14 USD) when ordering via apps.
