Description and is it worth a visit
Museum of Fine Arts or Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum (Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts) – contains a rich collection of artistic and cultural works from different periods. And considering that it is located almost in the city center and you can walk to it from the tourist area, we would recommend visiting it if you have enough time.
On the territory of the complex there are three buildings built in the European style at the beginning of the XX century. Attention should be paid not only to the elegant facades with balconies, columns and decorative elements, but also to the interior of the museum halls with spiral staircases, doors, mosaics on the windows and long corridors. It is not surprising that this is a favorite place for photo shoots for local and foreign youth. It seems that this is what they come here for – to make more photos for social networks.
All three buildings of the Museum of Fine Arts are open to the public with a single ticket, so do not miss any. Everyone is informative in their own way. For example, the central pavilion mainly exhibits paintings and sketches by famous Vietnamese artists, made in different techniques and on different topics, as well as sculptures and installations. In the second, temporary exhibitions are held. The third building presents collections of ancient and modern ceramics, bronze, stone and wood products. Among the exhibits, among others, there are works by Russian artists. You can find them by the inscriptions.
The figures placed on the street exhibition are also noteworthy.
