Description and is it worth a visit
City Council Building (City People's Committee, City Hall, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Hotel de Ville) is one of the iconic architectural landmarks in the center of Saigon, the heritage of the French colonists. Externally, a very beautiful and majestic building, built in 1909.
This is a popular place that is included in all sightseeing sightseeing routes around the city.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to get inside, since this is a functioning municipal institution. It is located in the administrative center of the city, surrounded by various departments and organizations. From here you can easily reach other interesting places – the City Museum and the Opera House.
There is a statue of Ho Chi Minh City in front of the People's Committee in the Park. From here you get beautiful photos of the building. The Nguyen Hue Square itself is also a pedestrian street, Walking Street Nguyen Hue, and is great for walking. From the committee Building you can walk along the walking area and walk to the embankment.
In the evenings and on holidays, the building is illuminated, so it's better to come here half an hour before sunset and wait for dark.
