Description and is it worth a visit
There is a separate paid attraction on Ba Dinh Square – the museum or the Presidential Palace complex. Part of the palace, called Ho Chi Minh's Vestige In The Presidential Palace Area, is open to tourists. It is notable for the fact that President Ho Chi Minh City lived and worked here from 1954 until his death in 1969.
They say that everything here has been preserved absolutely in the same form as it was under Uncle Ho. The complex consists of a beautiful well-maintained territory and an orchard and a pond, there is a garage with two cars of the president, a separate house on stilts with Uncle Ho's office, a work house, and, of course, a gift shop. You can't enter most of the buildings, but they are arranged so that you can view them through glass doors. So, here you can see the Soviet refrigerator "Moscow" in the kitchen, and the Soviet car "Victory" flaunts in the garage.
Our opinion is that, although the museum is significant and interesting for Vietnamese, we will not recommend foreign tourists to visit it without fail and first of all we will not. But if you have enough time while visiting the entire Ba Dinh Square complex, then be sure to take a look. Recall that on Ba Dinh Square you can visit the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, see the mausoleum and the pagoda on one pillar, and, accordingly, this palace.
Important! The entrance to Ba Dinh Square and to all attractions on it is now limited by security measures and a dress code. To get here, you need to go through one of the checkpoints from the south or north side, where they will check all your things. Lighters, weapons and items similar to weapons, even pocket knives, are not allowed to pass. They may also not miss it if you are wearing a T-shirt, short shorts or a skirt.
There are no storage rooms for prohibited items. There are no free capes, but at the entrance there are "traders" who offer to buy a cape for 200,000 VND (30,000 after the auction).
