Description and is it worth a visit
In the Ancient House-Museum of Hanoi (Hanoi Ancient House) recreated the atmosphere and life of the average Hanoi family with above-average wealth, late 19th – early 20th centuries. Here you can get acquainted with the device of a two-story City house, completely unusual for Europeans, sandwiched in the cramped urban development of the Old City. It consists of two floors: on the ground floor there is a living room and a kitchen; on the second an altar room, a bedroom and a study. Interestingly, part of the house is not covered with a roof, forming a kind of courtyard with a mini-garden on the second floor and a kitchen on the first. The rooms are furnished with furniture, household items and utensils, and educational information in English is posted on the walls. On the ground floor at the entrance there is a shop with unique, but very expensive souvenirs made in a special technique of varnishing.
This is not to say that this museum should be included in the first place to visit in Hanoi, but if you are going on a walking tour of the Old City, be sure to look here. The visit will take 15-20 minutes.
