Description and is it worth a visit
Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is one of the most interesting museums in the capital, and along with the National Museum of Vietnamese history is worth visiting first among all attractions in Hanoi. The exposition tells about the peoples of Southeast Asia who live in Vietnam, such as the Hmong, Lao, Tai, Dzao and others, the peculiarities of their culture and way of life. There are a lot of exhibits, among them household items, fabrics, batik, jewelry, clothing, hats, boats, video materials. Also on the territory there is a large open exposition of models of houses of different nationalities, made in full size. Inside them you can go, there is recreated the atmosphere of traditional life, inherent in the respective nationality. Don't forget to also visit the museum's additional new building, which is located on the grounds to the right of the main museum building (viewed from the entrance). It presents an exhibition dedicated to the arts and crafts of peoples around the world, and so far it can be visited for free.
The museum can be visited with children, here they will be interested. A tour guide in English is offered at the entrance. To visit together with the road from tourist area of Hanoi it is better to lay half a day.

💵Entrance fee / ticket price
40 00 VND (approximately 1.52 USD, see Vietnam's currency and exchange rate), children under 6 years old free of charge. Photo and video shooting-50,000, but in fact no one monitors the availability of permission. Excursion support in English - 100 000 VND.
🚶 How to get there
The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is located far from the tourist area (Lake of the returned sword), Nguyen Van Huyen road, (Museum on the map of Hanoi). You can get there by bus number 14 from Dinh Tien Hoang Street in the north of returned Sword Lake (this is the terminus of this route, see Hanoi city buses and how to use them). From the nearest stop to the museum will have to go another 15-20 minutes on foot. A taxi ride will cost $ 6-7.
