The B-52 Victory Museum in Hanoi and how to visit it

Description and is it worth a visit

Victory Museum B-52

Victory Museum B-52 (B-52 Victory Museum) in Hanoi is a small free military museum dedicated primarily to the Air Force of Vietnam.

The exposition is based on the famous American strategic bomber B-52 Stratofortress, shot down over Hanoi in December 1972. Its wreckage is on display in the courtyard of the museum, but the main interest is not them, but other weapons surrounding the aircraft. Here you can see Soviet anti-aircraft installations, a radar station, a MiG-21 fighter and other weapons with which this "flying fortress" was destroyed.

The only sad thing is that the signatures to the exhibits do not indicate their origin: neither the country of origin (USSR), nor the fact that it was help from a friendly state. The Soviet origin can be guessed only by the names and Cyrillic inscriptions on some details.

There is also an exposition inside the building – mostly photographs, documents, some weapons and Soviet communications equipment.

It takes 20 minutes to see the museum, so you shouldn't go here on purpose. But if you have already seen everything in Hanoi or just happened to be nearby, you can take a look.
