Description and is it worth a visit
Clay Tunnel (Clay Tunnel) is also called Sculpture Tunnel (Sculpture Tunnel) or Clay village. This is a fun theme park, which is an open-air "tunnel" filled with clay sculptures and bas-reliefs that depict the main sights and the history of the development of the city of Dalat and its surroundings, as well as unique architectural works from around the world. Hundreds of tourists come here to wander around it, and most importantly – to take funny and romantic photos. The place is unusual and very popular among Vietnamese and foreign tourists. And yes, this is the very park where the most famous photo zone of two faces in the "endless" pool is located. But now we will tell you everything in more detail.
It is worth noting that the Clay Tunnel or Sculpture Tunnel is very different from other theme parks around Dalat. Most other parks are based on some of its natural attractions and riches, for example, a lake, a waterfall, a flower farm, coffee or fruit plantations, and the like. Here, the basis is man–made sculptural compositions.
In this space there are many famous art objects and symbols of Dalat, such as Longbyan Mountain, Xuan Huong Lake, railway station, Pink Church, there is also a part dedicated to COVID. Visitors can freely explore every corner of this place, however, you should not expect something super unique. In addition, without knowledge of individual architectural objects, it will be difficult to find a copy of it, because all the names are in Vietnamese.
The cherry on the cake in this park is a wonderful and romantic installation on Infinity Lake. Two faces looking at each other, symbolizing love, and behind them there is a lake stretching into infinity, thus creating a poetic and picturesque atmosphere. This place has recently become one of the business cards among other famous places in Dalat. To take a picture against the background of these figures, you often have to wait your turn.
Time to visit the Clay Tunnel should be allocated at least an hour. We will advise this place to photo lovers, otherwise nothing interesting.
Visiting Tips:
- The "tunnel" is actually a conditional designation, and a walk through it takes place in the open air. So do not forget hats and sun protection.
- There are a lot of tourists here on weekends and holidays, and especially near Infinity Lake, so plan your trip in advance to avoid them.
