Description and is it worth a visit
Yatagala temple in the vicinity Unawatuna – one of the brightest attractions. Although it does not possess any outstanding architectural features and beauties, it is one of the most important Buddhist sites in the South. It is one of the island's oldest temples, and by some estimates was built over 2,300 years ago. It is built on a rock, but it is not fully a cave temple.
Interestingly, you can visit the temple at any time of the day. It is located on a hill, where you will have to climb on foot, but anyone can master the climb.
