Nuwara Eliya Post Office is the most recognizable and photographed building in the city. It really looks very cute, like a toy gingerbread house. Here you can buy a postcard and send it home to your family, it is quite inexpensive, about 100 rupees (0.3 USD, see currency of Sri Lanka, exchange rate). Also inside you can see several carefully preserved historical exhibits. And by the way, this is one of the oldest post offices in Sri Lanka, built in 1894 by the British.
