Timbis Beach and is it worth going here
Timbis Beach is located in the south of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula (Timbis beach on the map). It is located on the shore next to the popular and developed Pandava beach to the left of it, in fact, it is like its continuation along the shore. Previously, it was a relatively inaccessible, deserted, one might even say wild beach, where only seekers of cozy places of rest reached. But now an asphalt road has been built here through the rocks, a cafe has appeared and infrastructure is developing on the shore, there is a club beach Timbis Beach Club with a restaurant and a swimming pool for 350 00 rupees/person deposit for food and drinks in the restaurant (19.38 USD) .
Although Timbis Beach is formally free, you can get to it only for a fee via Pandava Beach for 15,000 per person (0.83 USD), or via Gunung Payung Beach for 20,000(1.11 USD). Read more about how to get there below.
Timbis, like most beaches on Bukit, is located under a high rocky cliff, so there are no palm trees on the shore, but there are many beautiful rocks and grottoes. Its length is about 500 meters. And although it is now being built up and developed, it is still possible to find secluded corners behind rocks and in grottoes to hide from prying eyes. There is little shade on the shore, since there are no trees. But after 15 hours, on the contrary, there is too much shade here, because the sun is hiding behind the hill, and it will no longer be possible to sunbathe.
Timbis is quite suitable for swimming, especially at high tide. A coral reef runs along the coast about 100 meters away, it protects from strong waves. There is no entertainment on the shore or in the water yet.
Attention! If you are relaxing in the wild part of the beach, keep in mind that there are monkeys here. Keep an eye on things, otherwise I might steal. Also in the reviews, tourists complain that they open the trunks of motorbikes and steal things.
Please note that the time of tides does not depend on the time of day, but is determined by calculations and forecast tables. You can view the tide times and the forecast to determine when it is best to go to this beach:
