Pandava Beach and is it worth going here
Pandawa or Padang Beach (Pandawa or Padang Beach) this is actually one beach, just for some reason it is called differently in different sources and on different maps. Located in the south of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula, it is about 40-60 minutes drive from the airport and the center of Kuta (Pandava or Padang Beach on the map).
Entrance here is paid 15,000 rupees (0.83 USD) for foreign tourists and 2000 and 5000 thousand for Parking. But the price here has changed somewhat, so it may be different when you arrive.
Pandava Beach is 1.5 kilometers long. Sandy, well protected from waves by a reef. This is one of the few beaches on the Bukit Peninsula, where there is everything at once in one place. Here you will get a well-developed infrastructure for recreation, and at the same time, if you want to relax without noisy neighbors along the shore, you can find a secluded place on the outskirts. There are a number of seafood restaurants here, and you can eat inexpensively with traditional inexpensive dishes such as rice with chicken. There is a kayak rental, and on the cliff for money you can fly a paraglider. There are a lot of umbrellas and sun loungers on the shore (for a fee), the cost of the visit includes a locker room, shower and toilet.
You can even put it on a par with the famous Melasti beach, which is so adored by Russian tourists, but still Pandava seemed to us calmer and not so crowded and there is clearly more space.
Cons of the beach
Well, now about the minuses, there is no way without them. At low tide, swimming here will not work, very shallow. It's also bad that there are a lot of broken corals and shells on the shore, because of this it's not very comfortable to walk here, it hurts to step on them. And there are a lot of large stones under the water. To be honest, we haven't seen this on Melasti, perhaps this is due to more frequent and thorough cleaning. Yes, let's be completely honest: compared to Melasti, Pandava, though developed, still looks somehow more abandoned, and mostly locals rest here, there are few tourists.
Attention! There are monkeys here, so keep an eye on things, especially if you decide to relax on the outskirts away from the center.
Please note that the time of tides does not depend on the time of day, but is determined by calculations and forecast tables. You can view the tide times and the forecast to determine when it is best to go to this beach:
What's the neighborhood like here
Despite the development of the beach, there is no tourist area as such. There are several hotels nearby within a few minutes drive, you can find village shops and shops, but all this is exactly like in the village and over long distances. In general, a real wilderness. So we will not recommend staying near Pandava Beach, unless you purposefully do not want to be in such a remote place far from civilization.
How to get to Pandawa Beach
Pandava Beach is located in the south of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula (Pandava beach on the map). It is 20 kilometers from the airport and the center of Kuta. You can get from 130,000 rupees by taxi through the application (7.2 USD) and from 60,000 for a motorcycle taxi.
You can use your own (rented) transport to get here by toll or free road. The paid version is faster, but the problem is that you need to buy a special electronic card for payment. If this is a one-time trip along the "headscarf" for you, then there is no point in buying it, you can drive along the free route, it is the same in length, just more traffic jams.
When you arrive at the beach, you need to park in a large parking lot next to the ticket offices, it is free. There is a free shuttle bus from the parking lot to the beach, but there is nothing to go there either.
