Pump room-book is a new drinking source of mineral water, available free of charge to all vacationers in Zheleznovodsk. It was inaugurated in 2019 and is dedicated to literature, which is expressed in its design. It is made in the form of a cube, and handwritten inscriptions by Mikhail Lermontov are recreated on its walls, excerpts of the great literary works "Shtoss", "Hero of our Time", "Caucasus" and "Izmail Bey" are applied.
Inside the Pump Room-book, you can use therapeutic mineral water from spring No. 56 for free, which is similar in composition and action to Essentuki No. 4. As in other pump rooms in Zheleznovodsk, they don't ask for any directions or sanitary books, but if you decide to self-medicate, keep in mind that you can't drink too much therapeutic mineral water for one reception, otherwise you can harm your health. Inside the pump room on the stands there is information on how and in what quantities to use water based on body weight, and it is better to adhere to at least these recommendations.
For drinking, you can use the glass you brought with you, or buy a disposable one here for 5 rubles. Bottles for a set of water for 20 rubles are also sold. There is a warning at the entrance that you can't put water in your container, but in practice no one follows this, and everyone who wants to take it for the future. However, this is useless, because after 3-4 hours it loses its healing properties, becomes cloudy and begins to smell unpleasant.

🚶 How to get there
the pump room is located in Resort Park approximately in the middle of the Cascade Staircase (pump room on the map). From anywhere in the resort area of Zheleznovodsk, you can get here on foot in 10-20 minutes. It is also the only pump room in the resort area, which can be reached by car along the road that leads to the resort lake, but please note that stopping and parking in this place is prohibited.
