Kislovodsk State Circus named after G.M.Trachtenberg is one of the interesting places for family holidays in Kislovodsk, of which, by the way, there are not so many on the cruise. The hall is spacious, at the same time accommodates up to 1483 spectators. The circus has been delighting residents and guests of the city with vivid performances for several decades.
The history goes back far into the past, when circus troupes gave performances on the territory of just beginning resort towns for vacationers. Booths and tents were set up in parks and squares.
The first official circus tent was installed in 1933. Circus art began to develop rapidly, a circus on ice appeared, aerialists and trainers reached a new level. The main "nails" of the numbers of that time were the performances of Ossetian horsemen.
Currently, the circus is located in an old building. A spacious chamber hall with good acoustics allows you to fully enjoy all the magic happening in the arena. Thanks to the special arrangement of the chairs, the stage is visible even from the most distant rows. The chairs themselves are clean, comfortable, air conditioning works in summer, in winter the room is fully heated.
On average, one performance lasts from 2 to 2.5 hours, not including intermission. After the reconstruction, the building was renovated, there was a spacious buffet, toilet, dressing room. In between performances, everyone can visit stalls selling cotton candy, popcorn, toys, and souvenirs.
If we talk about the downsides, then these are queues at the buffet and in the toilet. In addition, the circus has a weak capacity, all spectators pass through the same doors, which slows down the ticket check. The entrance opens 15 minutes before the start of the performance, but sometimes this time is not enough for everyone to take their seats, and the performance eventually starts late.

depending on the place, the ticket price starts from 1000 rubles, children under 3 years old are free. You can buy tickets at the ticket offices in the circus, at additional ticket offices in the resort area at Kurortny Boulevard, and you can also issue electronic tickets on the official website.
🚶 How to get there
The circus is located in the center of Kislovodsk on Pobedy Avenue, 12 (circus on the map). It is a little away from the tourist area of the resort, on foot from Colonnades 2 kilometers and about 30 minutes on foot. You can take a taxi from 100 rubles, and almost all buses and minibuses go here, they cost 28 rubles. For private transport there is a paid parking for 50 rubles.
