Yalta lighthouse is one of the symbols of the city of Yalta and an iconic scenic point that can be observed on the edge of the concrete pier bounding the port while walking along the embankment. It is considered a historical monument, although, of course, we will not include it among the mandatory places to visit in Yalta. In addition, you can only look at it from a distance from the shore, since it is located in a closed port area. The only opportunity for holidaymakers to see it closer is during a boat trip.
Initially, in 1874, a temporary port lighthouse was installed here in the form of a signal tower for meeting ships. At the end of the XIX century, there was a need for a new full-fledged lighthouse, and a tall stone lighthouse was built to replace the old one from 1889 to 1892, which still greets ships with signal lights.

The lighthouse is located in the center of Yalta at the end of the concrete pier that limits the port (lighthouse on the map). It is clearly visible from the embankment, but it will not be possible to walk to it, since it is located in a closed port area.
