Overview of how to get there

Uchkuyevka beach or country road is located in the north of Simferopol in Nakhimovsky district just 3 kilometers from the center in a straight line (Uchkuyevka on the map of Crimea), and therefore most transport routes lead here through the center of Sevastopol, where the railway station and the city bus station are located. The nearest operating passenger airport is located in Simferopol. Here are brief instructions:

• 🚌 By bus from Simferopol, Sevastopol, Yevpatoria, but only routes to the Northern bus station of Sevastopol go to Uchkuyevka, and from other cities you will have to go with transfers in the city center.
• ✈ By plane to Simferopol airport and from there by taxi from 1800 rubles, by bus to the Northern bus station of Sevastopol, or with a transfer by bus through the center of Simferopol or Sevastopol.
• 🚆 By train to Sevastopol railway station from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and then by taxi or city transport with transfers bus->ferry->bus.
• 🚆 By train to Simferopol railway station and from there by taxi from 1600 rubles, or by bus to Sevastopol Northern bus station.
• 🚗 By car across the Crimean Bridge and then along the Tavrida highway through Simferopol (this is the shortest and best route), or along the southern coast of Crimea through Koktebel, Sudak, Alushta, Yalta and Sevastopol (this is a scenic route, but much longer and may require an additional overnight stay along the way).
• 🛌 Buy a ready-made package tour with a transfer directly to the hotel without any worries.

By bus from Sevastopol and other Crimean cities

Since Uchkuyevka is not an independent village, there is no own bus station. However, the Northern bus Station of Sevastopol is located very close by, through which it is most convenient to get to this area from the airport and the cities to the north, besides, most of the buses to the North pass directly through the district along Chelyuskintsev Street, and you can get off right here. Also relatively nearby is the main bus station of Sevastopol, where you can come from almost anywhere in the Crimea, as well as from neighboring regions, although it is not very convenient and long to get from it to the recreation area of Uchkuyevka, since you will have to go around Sevastopol Bay. In general, from anywhere on the peninsula of Crimea to Uchkuyevka can be reached by bus within one light day, but in some cases you will also have to make a transfer in Simferopol.

To get to the village from the center of Sevastopol or back, it is best to go with a transfer by city ferry+bus. If you want without transfers, you will have to make a long detour of Sevastopol Bay. To get there with a transfer by ferry, you need to take a ferry from Grafskaya Pier or Artbukhta for 30 rubles to the other side of the bay to Severnaya Pier (in more detail about transport and ferries in Sevastopol here...). Next to the pier is the Severnaya bus station, from which a huge number of city and suburban flights cost from 26 rubles depart towards Uchkuyevka, it takes only 10 minutes to go.

From Simferopol Airport

You can get to rest in Uchkuyevka by plane through the only civilian airport of the peninsula in Simferopol. It operates flights from Moscow and the regions of the Russian Federation, there are no international flights. There are 80 kilometers from the airport to Uchkuyevka, which is best covered by taxi, which will take a little more than an hour if there are no traffic jams on the roads. You can get there by bus, but then you may have to make a transfer (it depends on the season):

• By taxi

  Taxi via the Yandex.Taxi, Uber, and other apps. There is no booking in Crimea due to sanctions, and therefore you will have to use a more expensive official airport taxi, negotiate with drivers in the parking lot or book a ready-made tourist transfer in advance. The cost of a trip to Uchkuyevka will be from 2000 rubles, in the tourist season the prices are slightly higher. Try to avoid the services of private "bombers", as they initially call inflated prices and you will have to bargain with them.

  If you prefer the trip to take place comfortably and according to plan, then you can order a tourist transfer before the trip, and then the driver will meet you with a sign on arrival. Transfer booking is available on the website intui.travel or through this search form:

• Rent a car at the airport

  At the airport you can rent a car and drive it directly to Uchkuyevka. This option is preferable if you travel a lot and actively. In addition, with this option you will be able to see and visit other resorts with their interesting places. If you only need to get to the hotel and the beach, then there is no point in renting. The price of renting a car in the low tourist season can start from 650 rubles per day, and in high season from 1400 rubles. • By bus

  If the budget does not allow you to order a transfer or taxi, then you can get from the airport by bus, but in some cases you will have to make a transfer, sometimes even several.

  Unfortunately, there are no direct flights directly to Uchkuyevka from the airport, but you can get on a passing flight to the Northern bus station of Sevastopol. Please note that you need to take a flight to the Northern bus station, and not to the Sevastopol bus station, since only it passes through Uchkuyevka.   If there are no direct suitable flights, then you will have to go with a transfer in Simferopol. Take a city bus or trolleybus to Kurortnaya station (Simferopol AC-2), 30 minutes on the way, the cost is 26 rubles. There are routes from the airport there:

  • trolleybuses No. 9, 20, 54, 55
  • Buses No.49, 98
  • minibus No. 115

  Further from the bus station "Kurortnaya" you need to take a bus again to the bus station "Severnaya" in Sevastopol, which passes through Uchkuyevka. Buses rarely depart according to the schedule 4-5 times a day, 2 hours on the way, the cost starts from 350 rubles.

  And finally, if neither one nor the other option suits you, then you can go with a transfer through Sevastopol. To do this, take the first nearest flight to the main bus station of Sevastopol, they go often. Upon arrival in Sevastopol, you need to get from the bus station by city trolleybuses or buses to Grafskaya pier, which will take about 30 minutes and 26 rubles. Then, from the Grafskaya Pier, take the ferry to the Severnaya Pier (30 minutes and 26 USD), and there go to the Severnaya bus station from which you take a city or suburban bus to Uchkuyevka, which cost from 26 rubles, 10 minutes on the way.

• By train/train

  It is unlikely that anyone will use this route under normal conditions, but if there is some kind of extreme situation with buses, for example, due to traffic jams, then you can use this method. Such a move can take almost the entire daylight day.

  From the airport, take city buses or trolleybuses to the railway station in Simferopol, these are the same flights that go to the Kurortnaya bus station, because these two transport hubs are nearby. There are a lot of electric trains from Simferopol to Sevastopol, the cost is from 128 rubles, an hour and a half on the way. When you arrive by train to Sevastopol, you will have to get to the place of rest with transfers by public transport (cheaper and shorter), or take a taxi around Sevastopol Bay. To get there by public transport, as well as from the bus station, you first need to get to Grafskaya Pier, take a regular ferry there to Severnaya Pier / bus station, and from there by city or suburban buses to Uchkuyevka.

To Uchkuyevka by train

There is no railway directly in Uchkuyevka, but you can get here by train through Sevastopol or Simferopol. There are more trains from cities of the Russian Federation to Simferopol, so we recommend getting through it, but nevertheless we will tell you in detail about both ways.

Since due to Western sanctions, the main Russian carrier RZD does not operate flights to Crimea, you need to search and buy tickets not on the RZD website, but on tutu.ru or on the company carrier's website Grand Service Express.

• By train through Sevastopol

  Direct railway communication with Sevastopol is limited only to flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg and cities along their route. Also in high season there are several flights from Murmansk, but they rarely go.

  When you arrive at the Sevastopol railway station, you will need to get to your vacation spot in Uchkuyevka by taxi or local transport. A taxi costs from 600 rubles, almost an hour on the way, since you will have to go around Sevastopol Bay on a difficult road and traffic jams. We recommend ordering a car by calling local taxi companies (see about transport in Sevastopol here...), since drivers in the station parking lot ask for at least twice as much without bargaining.

  You can get there inexpensively by public transport, however, you will have to spend several hours already and make two transfers:

  1. First, from the railway station you need to take city buses or trolleybuses to Grafskaya pier. Travel costs 26 rubles, transport runs frequently, there are many flights.
  2. At Grafskaya Pier, take a regular ferry to the Northern pier / bus station, costs 30 rubles, runs every 15 minutes.
  3. At the Northern bus station, take a city or suburban bus to Uchkuyevka. There are a lot of routes and although often, the cost is from 26 rubles, 10 minutes on the way.

• By train through Simferopol

  If there are no direct trains from your city to Sevastopol, then you can safely buy tickets to Simferopol.

  A taxi from Simferopol railway station to Uchkuyevka will cost from 1600 rubles, about an hour to go if there are no traffic jams. Drivers with offers to take you anywhere in the Crimea will meet you immediately when you get off the train, but they greatly overestimate prices, you need to bargain with them.

  If you need to save money, you can take buses. Near the station there is a bus station "Kurortnaya", from where a bus departs 4-5 times a day to Sevastopol to the Northern bus station via Uchkuyevka, 2 hours on the way, the cost starts from 350 rubles. Since there is no bus station in Uchkuyevka, you can not get to the final one on Severnaya, but get off on the way on Chelyuskintsev Street in this area.

To Uchkuyevka by car

By private car to Crimea from other regions of the Russian Federation, entry is now carried out via the newly built Crimean Bridge, there is no charge for travel on it. In theory, there is still the possibility of entry through the territory of the DPR republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, but this option of entry, given the current situation, should not be considered. Up to Uchkuyevka itself, after passing the Crimean Bridge, we offer one of these automobile routes:

• Via Simferopol. The route with a length of about 280 kilometers passes along the good Tavrida highway. When traveling without any problems and with the least number of stops, this route can be driven in 4-5 hours. In addition, for convenience, rest areas and stationary refueling stations are located on it.
• On the YBK through Koktebel, Sudak, Alushta, Yalta. This route is longer than through Simferopol, 90 kilometers, but undoubtedly more saturated. Along the way, which runs along the coast and along the serpentines, you can enjoy the picturesque views of the peninsula. Given the long length of the route, you will probably have to travel all day and spend the night on the road. This route should be used if you plan to get not only to Uchkuyevka, but also just to travel around the Crimea, visiting other resorts along the way.

In Crimea, it will be necessary to refuel the light of cars at such local network gas stations as Atan, Vesta, T-neft, Formula, Tobi, CRS, Redpetrol. Gasoline and diesel on them at a price of 5 percent higher than at gas stations before entering from the "mainland". Therefore, it is better to fill a full tank shortly before entering the peninsula, in front of the bridge. Payment for fuel at the vast majority of gas stations is possible both in cash and by credit card without commission.
