Blue Bay is located within the urban part of Sevastopol in the bay of the same name. Due to the fact that the beach is located in a bay and surrounded by rocks, it is well protected from wind and waves. There is always clear blue water here, and in sunny weather it turns turquoise. Many tourists in the reviews admit that this is the best beach in the city, and we completely agree with them. In addition, it is easily accessible from the center by direct city buses. It is also convenient that you can park your personal car nearby without any problems.
It is very popular among locals. Unfortunately, the beach is small, only 70 meters, and therefore during the peak season it is crowded with vacationers. If you want to take a good place and not push elbows with neighbors along the shore, it's better to come here early in the morning. If you are unlucky and have not found a place, we can advise you to go further along the shore and look for a quieter place near the rocks.
There are a lot of pebbles on the beach of the Blue Bay, and there are also large stones. The entrance to the water is steep and is also accompanied by large pebbles, so it's better to go into the sea in special shoes, or swim right away. For small children, this beach is not very suitable because of the stones, it may not be comfortable for them, and it is dangerous at depth. For adults, on the contrary, you can safely dive with a mask, watch the marine life.
The beach infrastructure is developed. There are changing cabins, kayak rental and SUP-surf boards, sun loungers rental. Cafe with drinks and fast food (pasties, shawarma). In front of the entrance there is a mini-market with tour goods, there is also a diving center.
🚶 How to get there: The Blue Bay is located in the city limits of Sevastopol, 15 kilometers from the center (Blue Bay beach on the map).
You can get here by Sevastopol city buses No. 77 (from the center), 195 (from the center), 105 (from the center) and 102 (passes through the city but not through the center). You need to go to the stop "Blue Bay", and walk from it a little less than a kilometer, or 10-15 minutes. The fare costs 26 rubles in 2023. If you decide to come to the Blue Bay by private car, it may turn out that the passage directly to the shore through the adjacent territory of the Saturn SNT is closed by a barrier. But this is not a problem, because you can drive to the shore along dirt roads to bypass the SNT.
