What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Bounty Beach is one of the far beaches in Sevastopol, very famous for its sonorous name. It is located in the cozy bay of Alexandra, and sometimes it is also called the beach "under the Lighthouse", because there really is a small lighthouse on the shore here. In general, "Bounty" and "under the Lighthouse" are different beaches, they are separated along the shore by a rocky ledge, but since they are located in the same bay and on the same shore, the information below is valid for both.
It is not uncommon to find rave reviews and descriptions about it as the most beautiful beach with snow-white sand on the entire Chernomorskoe coast. But in fact, this is only partly true. "Bounty" in Sevastopol is really beautiful, but it is very difficult to call it a full-fledged beach. And it's not at all true that there is snow-white white sand here.
In fact, the Bounty is rather an amazingly beautiful bay, rather than a beach, since as such there is almost no beach area on the shore. The shore here is supported by a steep rocky cliff, passing almost close to the water. That's why there is almost no place where you can relax. If you decide to come here to sunbathe, then you will have to lie on rocks and sloping rocks. Well, about the white sand – this is also an exaggeration. There is sand here, but it is under water and not near the shore, and in order to enter the sandy bottom, you will first have to overcome a ridge of sharp stones.
The way here will also bring a lot of difficulties. To get to the Bounty by land, you will have to overcome a steep and dangerous descent down a stone slope, in some places you need to hold on to the ropes. With children or the elderly, it will not be easy to overcome this descent.
Therefore, it is better to go to the Bounty not for the sake of a full beach holiday and swimming, but rather for beautiful views. Moreover, it is better to do this on a boat to plunge into the crystal turquoise water directly from the side. This place is perfect for swimming with a mask, because judging by the reviews here you can see colorful fish.
There is nothing from entertainment except kayak rental and boards here, and even then such offers are rare here. When deciding to relax on the Bounty, do not forget to take everything you need with you: water, a snack, a litter or mattress, an umbrella from the sun.

🚶 How to get there
"Bounty" is located on the outskirts of Sevastopol, 15 kilometers from the city center (Bounty Beach on the map).
The beach "Bounty" will not be difficult to get from the city center by city buses. You need to go to the Mayak stop, where buses No. 3, 24, 79 or 35 go (direct from Balaklava). All these routes do not follow from the city center, and therefore you will most likely have to go with transfers. The most convenient place to transfer is the Sevastopol Cucumber interchange near the Simol shopping center/Sea Mall, where all four mentioned routes pass, and many flights from the center come here, and suburban and intercity buses pass in the Yalta direction. Planning a trip on the bus with transfers can use Yandex maps, 2Gis, or Google maps, there are now lists all city routes. Read more about Sevastopol city transport and how tourists can travel here.
By private car you can get almost to the beach itself, on foot you will only have to go down the steep slope. The car can be parked next to Fiolentovsky highway, there is plenty of space here.
