Dulber Palace
Dulber Palace

Dyulber in translation from Crimean Tatar means beautiful, and this name fully corresponds to the description of the Dyulber palace: snow-white walls, silver domes, arched vaults, blue ornament on the walls. The palace is certainly very beautiful and unusual. It impresses with its architecture and resembles the oriental palace of an Arab sheikh.

This luxurious palace was built by architect N.P. Krasnov, who built many mansions, villas, palaces on the coast of Crimea, including Yusupov Palace, which today have become unique architectural monuments of Yalta and the southern coast of Crimea. And the Dulber Palace is no exception, it is listed among the objects of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation.

It was built in the period from 1895 to 1897 for Prince Pyotr Nikolaevich Romanov (grandson of Emperor Nicholas I), who personally had a hand in creating the house project.

Today, the palace and the park surrounding it are located on the territory of the sanatorium complex "Dyulber", and the palace itself occupies one of the residential buildings of the sanatorium. This is associated with certain difficulties of visiting them. The territory of the sanatorium, with the exception of its guests, can be entered only for a fee, which includes an external inspection of the building, a walk through the adjacent park and a rest on the sanatorium beach. You can go inside the palace itself only if accompanied by a guide.

In our opinion, it is worth visiting this place if you are a connoisseur of architectural techniques and only as part of an excursion group, but you need to follow the schedule of excursions. But for a simple walk in the park, the price is somewhat too high. In recent years, the former beauty of the Dulber Palace is gradually disappearing, and the building is decaying.

On the territory of Dyulber Park there is a drinking pump room of Saki mineral water. However, there is no own source here, water is brought from another place. Therefore, it makes no sense to dial it with a glitch, since it is already considered "inanimate" and is no better than ordinary store water.
