What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
The beach and Landscape Park quiet bay is located approximately in the middle between Koktebel and the village of Ordzhonikidze (Quiet bay on the map). This is a favorite place for those who come to holidays in Koktebel, but prefer sandy and sparsely populated beaches. Tourists who stay in Koktebel come here both for a long rest in tents and just come to relax on the beach for a day.
In our opinion, this is the best place for swimming and relaxing in Koktebel. There is fine pleasant sand, clean and calm water, in all directions there is a picturesque view of the mountains and hills. The length of the continuous sandy beach is about one and a half kilometers, and it stretches almost to the village of Ordzhonikidze, interrupted by Rocky capes. On the western side, the Bay ends with Cape Chameleon, which stands out deep in the sea and protects the beach well from waves, which, by the way, is an attraction in itself. On the other side is another Promontory. Thanks to this, the water here is much calmer, the waves are weaker, that's why the Bay is called "Quiet". The depth is small, the water warms up well.
There is no infrastructure on the beach of a quiet bay. Until 2016, there was a summer cafe, a campsite and a tent camp, there were a lot of people. And until 2014, they generally took money for entry. But in 2016, the new authorities of the peninsula undertook to restore order in the landscape park. Now there are strict rules for visiting. Entry to the park and to the beach is prohibited, a barrier and a checkpoint with security were set up on the road. The car can now be left in the parking lot near the checkpoint, and then go to the beach on foot. You can still put up tents and set up camp, but now it's paid: 80 rubles for a double tent per day, 150 rubles for a four – seater, 130 rubles for a six – seater, if you come here on an SUV or ATV to bypass the checkpoint, there is a chance to run into an administrative fine. Also, the rules prohibit cutting down trees, fishing, tearing plants, and even making a fire. You can cook food on a gas burner or in the grill.
Inconveniences for recreation are caused by a small amount of shade (there are trees, but a little), the lack of toilets, electricity, and indeed any infrastructure. Garbage containers are installed.
There is no fresh water here, but there are two sources in which you can get water to wash, and it is not suitable for drinking. One source is a thin streamlet, located next to the road even before the checkpoint. It is very difficult to get close to it because of the vegetation around and swampy shores, besides, it is getting smaller every year. Another source is at the foot of the hill at the eastern end of the beach (position of the spring on the map).

🚶 How to get there
The quiet bay is three kilometers from the center of Koktebel (Quiet bay on the map. Many paths and a dirt road lead to the Bay, and walking can be reached in 30-60 minutes. It is better to go not along the shore, but through the fields above, or along a dirt road for cars. If you go along the shore, you will have to climb a steep crumbling cliff. By car you can get there without problems on a dirt road by signs, but the car will have to leave near the checkpoint, and then about a kilometer and a half to the beach.
Also, you can get to the quiet bay on foot from the village of Ordzhonikidze along the trail, but this route is longer and harder than from Koktebel, it will take about 2 hours.
