Kacha - urban-type settlement, part of the City District of Sevastopol. Located 23 kilometers from Sevastopol, and 80 from the main airport of Crimea-Simferopol airport (Kacha on the map of Crimea. The permanent population of Kachi is just over five thousand people. Naturally, in the warm season, and you can swim here in the sea in May, the number of inhabitants of the village increases several times.

The village got its name because of the river of the same name, which flows into the Black Sea four kilometers south of its location. Until 1912, a small farm Alexandro-Mikhailovka was located in this place, which was renamed Kacha and began to develop rapidly, thanks to the construction in the vicinity of one of the first flight schools in the country, where military officers were trained for Tsarist Russia, and then for the Red Army. The educational institution in the vicinity existed until 1941, when it was decided to evacuate it, due to the danger of occupation of the peninsula by Nazi troops.

Nevertheless, the good location of the village, pleasant climatic conditions and proximity to one of the largest cities of the Crimea, made Kacha attractive for a large number of tourists.

Rest in the village of Kacha

In Kacha there is no bustle of big cities and large resorts, so this is a good place for a family holiday with young children.

Naturally, the vast majority of guests of Kachi come here with one goal — to spend as much of their time as possible on the beach, periodically swimming in the sea. Nevertheless, the village has everything you need for other entertainment, albeit in smaller sizes than those offered by the larger resorts of the peninsula. :

  • Small landscaped promenade
  • Many cozy cafes and restaurants
  • Water and conventional attractions

Of course, in the evening, Discos are organized on the territories of recreation centers and local hotels.

Beaches of Kacha village

The beaches here are mostly mixed: pebbles on the shore, sand begins under water. But in the local beaches there is one feature that may not appeal to every tourist. The village and the entire area around it is almost 30 meters above sea level, and this is the height of a 9-storey building. And if in the center the descent to the beach is still relatively gentle, and does not cause much trouble, except for the need to work a little with your feet, then immediately outside the village, sharp cliffs 20-30 meters high hang over the beaches.

The Central Beach area has a unique development for most domestic resorts-housing for vacationers is very close to the water's edge. In some places, it is enough to walk only five or six steps to the water. On the one hand, it is convenient, but on the other hand, it is the main disadvantage of the resort. The fact is that the entire beach area of the village is limited in latitude (in the center by structures, in the North and South by rocky cliffs). That is, with a large crowd of people who want to sunbathe, finding a free place on the beach becomes problematic, and at high tide the water in general in some places reaches the embankment, and there is simply nowhere to sit on the beach.

Nevertheless, the beach area of Kachi has one very important plus - a variety of opportunities:

  • The southern part is the village beach, from which it is very easy to get to the village itself, to its shops, market and other infrastructure facilities
  • The central part allows you to simultaneously relax and live on the beach. Here is the greatest concentration of cafes and restaurants, attractions, souvenir shops, other entertainment. Along the complex "Our Sail" stretches a well-equipped promenade.
  • The northern part is a wild beach. An ideal place to set up tents, but do not forget about the cliff.

Infrastructure in the village of Kacha

Any village developed in Soviet times and not destroyed during the transition period has a fairly developed infrastructure. And Kacha in this sense is no exception:

  • There is a polyclinic and a post office
  • There is a village market and many shops
  • For the convenience of holidaymakers there are ATMs

There is also a small bus station that connects the village with the largest cities of the peninsula. : with Simferopol, Sevastopol, Bakhchisarai.

Hotels and accommodation in Kacha

You can settle in Kacha in two zones: in the central beach and directly in the village itself. The second option will cost vacationers cheaper, but you will have to get to the beach, and go down, and back up to a height of almost 30 meters. Accommodation options in the village itself are enough, as many rent their houses and apartments, earning in the holiday season.

The following options are available in the Central Beach area:

  • Complex of comfortable apartments "Our Sail". Located on the beach, has its own promenade.
  • Recreation Center "The romantic", where vacationers are accommodated in small cottages. On the territory there is a cinema, a gym, a playground and other conditions for a pleasant pastime.
  • Many private apartments and mini-hotels that limit the Central Recreation Area from its southern part.

Naturally, the cost of housing depends on its location and the conditions offered. For example, directly in Kacha you can find very decent and comfortable options at a price of 500-600 rubles per day, while a double Cottage at the Recreation Center "Romantic" will cost guests of the village 1200-1500 rubles.

When searching for hotels in Crimea on Booking.com you will most likely receive a message- "no options found". This is a limitation booking.com because of the sanctions. But to get around it and book accommodation in the Crimea is very simple, you just need to turn on the "traveling for work" tick. Attractions and entertainment

There are no attractions in the village itself. Previously, the only Miklouho-Maclay Museum on the embankment no longer exists. The surroundings of Kachi are also not very interesting, there is no nature here, only desert steppes. North of the village are cherry and peach orchards, vineyards. You can walk to them and see how they grow, and in the season you can also get to the harvest, but remember that this is private property, you can not pick fruit without permission. You can also walk to Cape Margopulo. Fans of extreme sports will find a lot of abandoned military facilities in the vicinity, but keep in mind, some even seemingly abandoned ones are still guarded.

Here's what you can see in the quality yourself:

  • Park "alley of Heroes pilots"

This is a small green park in the center of the city, where there is an alley of 26 busts of Heroes of the Soviet Union, aviators. There is also a monument to Lunin. The park has a lot of shade, and on especially hot days you can hide from the heat.

🕐 Working hours: around the clock.

💵 Entrance fee / tickets price: free.

🚶 How to get there: located in the center of the village (alley on the map)

  • Cape Margopulo and aviators ' cemetery

The Cape is located a couple of kilometers north of the village, so you can walk here. On the shore of the Cape passes a wild beach, where nudists often rest, and above it rises a cliff almost 20 meters high. From the cliff there is a wonderful view of the sea, and the very Beach. Also at the top is a small lighthouse, and at the fence of the Armory nearby there is a cemetery of aviators. Test heroes and military pilots-pioneers of domestic aviation, who died as a result of accidents at the beginning of the 20th century, are buried on it. On the tombstones are the names of the cause of death.

🕐 Working hours: around the clock.

💵 Entrance fee / tickets price: free.

🚶 How to get there: The Cape is located two kilometers north of the village (Cape and cemetery on the map. You can get there on foot along the beach or on the top of the cliff. You can go down/up the metal staircase, which is located a little further behind the Cape.

The only salvation for those who can not think of rest without acquaintance with the sights is organized excursions to other areas of the Crimea on buses, which are offered in travel agencies and distributors on the streets. You can also independently go to Sevastopol or Bakhchisarai, and see the sights there. If the option of group tours or independent trips by bus does not suit you, you can order an individual tour:

Entertainment in Kacha is also a little. There is a small mini amusement park for children, traditional beach entertainment, a cinema and children's entertainment complex "Madagascar" in the complex "Our sail". Also in "Our sail" there is a spa center, there is a bath, sauna, Turkish Hamam. In the evening, you can walk along the embankment, sit in one of the late-night bars or restaurants. Young people can have fun in the morning at one of several discos, but do not expect too much, it is, for the most part, just dance floors in bars or restaurants.

For outdoor enthusiasts, there are few options, but these places are famous for good waves and winds, so they are an attractive place for novice surfers or kitesurfers. However, there is no base here, so you will have to bring your equipment with you.

You can only get to Kacha by bus or taxi. The village is connected by bus to Sevastopol and Simferopol (via Bakhchisarai), there are no buses from Simferopol airport. Buses to Kacha arrive at the bus station at Pervomaiskaya STR., 3 (bus station on the map). Further to the hotel or the beach can be reached on foot.
