Nikolaevka - a small village on the west coast of Crimea, 45 kilometers from Simferopol and the airport (Nikolaevka on the map of Crimea. However, keep in mind that it is not the height of the season that everything stops here, and if you arrive too early in May or early July, or stay until September, there is simply nothing to do here, everything is closed.

In general, summing up, we can say this: if you do not care much about the quality of service, resort comfort, entertainment and attractions, a beautiful beach, if only there was a clean and warm sea for little money, then Nikolaevka is quite suitable for you. Otherwise, it is better to go on vacation to Yevpatoria (sandy beaches, lots of entertainment for children), or to the resorts of the southern coast of the Crimea (pebble beaches, very beautiful mountain landscapes, many attractions).

Infrastructure in Nikolaevka

As we have already mentioned, the infrastructure in Nikolaevka, including tourism, is well developed. There are a large number of hotels and a large fund of rented housing for a short time, many restaurants, cafes, canteens and even night discos. There are no shopping centers in the village, but there are many shops with basic necessities and food. And if you don't find what you need in stores, you'll probably find it on one of two markets that sell everything from fresh fruit to electronics. There is also an ATM and a branch of RNKB bank. From cultural institutions there is a concert hall, a house of Culture, a cinema.

Beaches in Nikolaevka

The sea here is good, calm, the water is clean, because there are no ports and industries nearby. But the beaches of Nikolaevka are one of the weak points of the resort, and this is putting it mildly. Beautiful and cozy City Beach will seem only to the most unassuming tourists.

The length of the coast within the village is about 3 kilometers, but beyond its borders the beach strip does not end, and stretches on for many kilometers. Almost everywhere on the shore there are pebbles, in some places there is sand, in the center pebbles mixed with brought sand. There are huge boulders and piles of stones. The bottom is pebbly everywhere, under water there are stones and concrete slabs overgrown with slippery moss. The slope of the bottom is different everywhere, there are places with a shallow depth ideal for children.

The beach is mostly narrow, only in the very center (opposite the bus station and Lenin Street) there is a spacious wide area, which is always crowded with vacationers, especially on weekends. Almost all along the narrow beach strip there are old concrete fortifications, ruined in places, with rusty fittings sticking out of them. In other places, concrete blocks "pulled" water into the sea, and they "please" vacationers under water. Thanks to all this concrete, the beach strip becomes very narrow at high tide, and in some places the water approaches directly to the concrete fortification, leaving no place to rest at all.

There is practically no infrastructure on the beaches, only sun beds and umbrellas for rent. You can go to the toilet only in the nearest cafe, or having gone further on land, there is nowhere to change clothes. There is entertainment: rental of catamarans, jet skis, banana riding. A more or less well-maintained Beach is a site near the Skif Recreation Center, but even there the views are spoiled by rusty fences and dilapidated concrete fortifications.

Nikolaevka has a very large selection of inexpensive accommodation options. Attractions and entertainment in Nikolaevka

There are no sights in Nikolaevka at all. Symbolically, you can see the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and visit the memorial to the soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, and nothing else. Organized sightseeing tours to attractions in all corners of the Crimea are offered on the streets at distributors and in hotels. With Entertainment in Nikolaevka things are better than with sights. In the high season, in July and August, inflatable slides, jet ski rental, banana riding appear on the beach. Horse riding training and horseback riding are offered (1 hour from 1000 USD). You can rent a bicycle or ATV, and ride around the neighborhood, however, if objectively, nothing interesting and beautiful around the village will not work.
