Settlement Lyubimovka (Lubimovka) - a small village in the north of Sevastopol, 30 kilometers from the city center at the mouth of the Belbek River (Lyubimovka on the map of Crimea). Nearby is Belbek airport. Previously it was an independent village, now it is administratively considered a microdistrict of Sevastopol. It can be considered as an independent tourist place, perfect for a beach holiday on the sandy shores of the Black Sea, but with a very poorly developed tourist infrastructure. The village is small, a little less than 6000 people.

Rest in Lyubimovka

Rest in Lyubimovka is exclusively Beach. There are no attractions, very little entertainment, almost no tourist infrastructure, but the beach here is just gorgeous. The beach strip with a width of almost 100 meters stretches along the Black Sea coast along the entire village for more than a kilometer, but it does not end at the outskirts, but, narrowing, continues for many kilometers to Sevastopol in the south, and to the village of Mirage in the North. The total continuous length of the beaches here is about 9 kilometers, and even at the height of the season there is a lot of space. In the north of the village (away from Sevastopol) behind the Cape there is even a secluded nudist beach.

The beach in Lyubimovka is Sandy and pebbly. The sand is yellow, small pebbles cover it only near the water. What is really wonderful is that there are no dams, breakwaters and fences that disfigure the landscapes in other resorts of the Crimea. Only a small part of the beach on the southern outskirts of Lyubimovka is blocked by concrete buns (concrete strengthening of the embankment). The bottom goes under the water quite steeply, after 4-5 meters the water reaches the shoulders, so children should be watched carefully. And yet, a feature of the local sea are quite strong waves, they are larger here and are more common than on the southern coast of the Crimea. The purity of the water in Lyubimovka is a controversial issue, since the proximity of a large city and the courts constantly scurrying through the water area do not add transparency to it at all. And in a storm or during large waves, a suspension of sand and clay rises from the bottom, and the water turns just brown.

There is little entertainment on the beach, only at the height of the season there are traditional bananas and jet ski rental, they stretch a net for ball games. Umbrellas and sun loungers are also few, so vacationers mostly come to the beach with their mattresses and umbrellas.

There is no embankment or pedestrian tourist zone in Lyubimovka, where you can walk in the evenings. And although the village is not a village, the tourist environment and infrastructure here are rustic. And the view of the village is dilapidated, not at all festive, as in other more popular resorts. Of the entertainment here only beaches, and in the evening you can sit in one of the cafes, restaurants, or in a bar. Small shops where you can buy everything you need are available, but you should not even think about serious shopping. Prices in stores in high season, by the way, are very high. In general, the situation with infrastructure and entertainment is saved only by the proximity to Sevastopol, to the center of which by car or bus to go 30 minutes, as well as the opportunity to purchase group excursions to other parts of the Crimea.

Summing up, in general, Lyubimovka is suitable for families with very young children who do not need entertainment, or if you do not need anything except the beach. But those who want to actively spend time in Lyubimovka will be very bored.

There are not many hotels in Lyubimovka, but there are campsites, tourist complexes, and a fairly large auto camp. In general, there are no problems with accommodation, but, unfortunately, it is not always possible to find and book a place for tourist accommodation in Lyubimovka through popular hotel search sites, since many of the campsites and guest houses are simply not in their search databases. Therefore, if you do not find a suitable option, you need to look directly for the sites of campsites and guest houses, or look for accommodation on arrival on the spot.

As in the whole Crimea, the high tourist season here takes place from May to October. The first tourists begin to arrive in May, and the infrastructure, in particular, camping and campsites, begin to work only from the first days of June. How to get to Lyubimovka

Lyubimovka is located in the north of Simferopol, 30 kilometers from its center (Lyubimovka on the map (). The nearest operating passenger airport is located in Simferopol (see Simferopol airport), and Belbek airport, located almost in the village itself, does not currently accept passenger flights. Railway transport does not pass through the village. Therefore, you can get here only by bus, taxi or private transport. The bus service is very well developed, so there will be no problems to get there, but most likely you will have to make several transfers. Be prepared to spend a full day moving with transfers, for example from Simferopol airport.

There is no bus station in Lyubimovka village, and buses stop in the city center (stop on map). You can also get here through the village of fruit, which is located on the main road and through it passes many regular intercity buses. • From Simferopol airport to Lyubimovka

  From the airport, the easiest way to get to Lyubimovka by taxi. The trip will cost from 2000 rubles per car, you can order a taxi through the search form. The road will take from one and a half to two hours.

  If you can not afford a taxi, be prepared to make several transfers along the way, since intercity transport does not go directly to Lyubimovka.

  Most often, the route to Lyubimovka from the airport passes through Sevastopol. From the airport to the main bus station of Sevastopol approximately every hour during the day there is a bus, more than 2 hours on the way. Upon arrival at the main bus station in Sevastopol, you will need to get to the bus station "Severnaya", from where a minibus for 17 rubles goes to the center of Lyubimovka.   Well, another way is to get to the bus station "Kurortnaya" in Simferopol on any trolleybus or bus, there to take the train to Sevastopol. Upon arrival in Sevastopol, you will need to get to the bus station "Severnaya", from where to the center of Lyubimovka there is a minibus for 17 rubles.

• To Sevastopol from Lyubimovka and back

  Getting to the center of Sevastopol from Lyubimovka and back is most convenient by minibus with a ferry transfer. From the center of Lyubimovka, taxis often go to the Severnaya station in Sevastopol. Travel on them costs 17 rubles, 5-10 minutes on the way. Next to the "North" is the eponymous Pier, from where to the center further across the bay you can swim by ferry for 20 rubles. The ferry departs every 15-30 minutes from 05:00 to 23:30. The whole journey takes 30-40 minutes.

Attractions Lyubimovka

There are no significant attractions in Lyubimovka, with the exception of, perhaps, the only historical place "30th coastal battery" (aka "Fort Maxim Gorky-1", cm. on the map). This battery played an important role in the defense of Sevastopol during the Great Patriotic War, which lasted 256 days, it is also the largest fortification of Sevastopol.

The battery consists of two three-barrel turrets with 305 mm cannons. There is also a museum of the coastal troops of the Black Sea Fleet, and nearby is the beautiful Church of St. Nicholas. Unfortunately, you can visit the museum and see the guns up close only as part of an organized excursion by appointment, and you will not be able to visit this attraction yourself. The fact is that the 30th battery is located on the territory of the active military unit of the Russian Federation, and just like that, no one will let it go without permission. Therefore, you can either see the battery from afar, or sign up for a tour, which can be done by calling the press service of the Black Sea fleet of the Russian Federation: +38 (0692) 545-366.

Independently you can see the Military-Historical Museum "Mikhailovskaya battery" and St. Nicholas Church located near the village. Both of these attractions are located in Nakhimov district on the north side of Sevastopol, and can be reached by any local bus going to the bus station "north" for 15 17 rubles, or if desired on foot.

• St. Nicholas Church

  This is an Orthodox Church-monument at the Fraternal Memorial Cemetery, one of the main architectural symbols of the city. Built in the middle of the 19th century. The architect specially chose an unusual form for an Orthodox Church – a pyramid. It is believed that the architect A. A. Avdeev with this form sought to convey the idea of Eternity, borrowing it from the Egyptian pyramids. Whatever it was, the temple is worth it to drive to it and see with your own eyes. Also nearby is the museum "Mikhailovskaya battery", and their visit is convenient to combine.

  The main part of the museum's exposition is devoted to the Crimean (Eastern) war of 1853-1856, as well as exhibits of other wars: the Civil War, the First World War, The Great Patriotic War. The museum as a whole reproduces the interior of the protective structure of the mid-19th century.
