What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
This lake is a natural landmark, officially a natural monument "Lake salty". Until 1952, salt was mined here.
It is a shallow bay of the Black Sea, separated by a sandbar 50-100 meters wide. In winter, water accumulates in it, and in summer it almost completely dries up and becomes covered with a crust, under which there is a therapeutic muddy mud saturated with trace elements. Officially, the lake is not considered curative, but tourists independently conduct medical and cosmetic procedures, smearing mud.
However, remember that the use of therapeutic mud without supervision and doctor's recommendations can be harmful, not beneficial. Do not smear the whole body, but rather apply the dirt first on the joints or limbs, and look at the reaction of the body. An allergic or other skin reaction may occur, blood pressure will increase. If everything is in order, then you need to withstand the dirt on the body until it dries, then wash it off with sea water on the beach.
