What to Expect and Is It Worth Visiting
Mud volcano Azov Inferno or Plevak it is a slightly elevated crater with a diameter of about 10 meters, filled with volcanic mud. And it is located in a hollow on the slope next to the shore. This, by the way, is more convenient for tourists: here you can take mud baths, and immediately wash off the dirt with sea water, and if desired, even swim. The beach next to the volcano itself is also remarkable: instead of sand, the entire coast is strewn with shells of all sizes, colors and shapes.
Using MUDs is free (at least for now). You can dive directly into the pool of the volcano, or you can collect mud and smear on the shore. For hygienic purposes, we encourage you to use the latter option to avoid leaving your waste in the communal pool.
The healing properties of mud are known only from popular rumor. If you decide to conduct procedures, we highly recommend that you adhere to the rules:
- Do not stay in the mud for more than 15 minutes.
- Do not smear the whole body, it is better for the first time to apply dirt on a part of the body, for example, limbs, and look at the reaction of the body. A negative reaction can manifest itself in the form of increased pressure, redness of the skin, an allergic reaction.
- Do not apply dirt to the neck, face.
- After the procedure, wash off the dirt with sea water on the beach, or better brought with fresh water.
