Yeysk - a resort town in the Krasnodar Territory on the coast of the Sea of Azov (Yeisk on the map. The city is Young, was founded only in the middle of the XIX century as a port. Before that, the settlement of Khan's town was on the site of the city, but it appeared only in the second half of the XVIII century. The name Yeisk was received from the river Yeya, which flows into the estuary.

In the city limits of Yeisk there is a long coastal strip washed by the waters of the Sea of Azov and the yeisk estuary, but not all the shores here are suitable for swimming. Part of the coastline is not equipped for beach holidays: too dirty, come across large stones, occupied by the port, used for parking boats and other technical needs. In addition, as on the entire coast of the Sea of Azov, the water here is traditionally muddy, and there is almost no depth.

How to get there

In Yeisk there is a railway station and an airport, but at the moment (2020) passenger flights are not operated there, so you will have to go by plane or train with transfers to a bus, taxi or train. In Yeisk there is a railway station, but long-distance trains do not go to it. Every day there are only three trains to the station Starominskaya-Timashevskaya in the village of Starominskaya.
