Overview of beaches, prices and services

In the city limits of Yeysk there is a long coastal strip washed by the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Yeisk estuary, but not all the shores here are suitable for swimming. Part of the coastline is not equipped for a beach holiday: it is too dirty, big stones come across, it is occupied by the port, used for boat parking and other technical needs. In addition, as on the entire coast of the Sea of Azov, the water here is traditionally muddy, and there is almost no depth.

But even with this in mind, there are plenty of places for a beach holiday here, besides, all equipped beaches in Yeysk are free, access is not illegally restricted anywhere. Another plus is warm water, because it warms up much earlier than in the Black Sea. Coupled with the shallow depth and small waves, this makes Yeisk an excellent place for a beach holiday with children, even the smallest age.

Equipped beaches have toilets, changing cabins, showers, umbrellas and deck chairs for rent. There is no shortage of water and beach activities if you choose the right place to relax. Here are the prices for services for reference:

  • Access to the beaches is free
  • Use of changing rooms - free of charge
  • Rental of sun loungers and umbrellas - from 200 rubles/day, 40 rubles/hour
  • Shower on the beach - 10 rubles
  • Toilet - 20 rubles

Another question that vacationers sometimes ask:" and how are things with the tides in Yeysk?". Fortunately for tourists, the effect of low tides on the entire Sea of Azov and in Yeysk in particular is minimal, the water level drop during the day rarely exceeds 10 centimeters. This is an almost imperceptible difference, you can notice the difference only in shallow water, for example, on the shallowest beach "Melyaki". Just in case, here is a graph of the tides and their forecast:

One of the problems of the local beaches are mosquitoes, which, due to human actions, have bred here in huge numbers in recent years. They don't bite like normal ones, but they are very annoying with buzzing. Fortunately, they mostly cause inconvenience in calm weather and in the evenings, so if you decide to swim in the sea after sunset and have a picnic on the shore, we advise you to stock up on insect repellents.

And now let's go specifically to the beaches. There are several beaches equipped and suitable for swimming in Yeysk, they are located in different places of the city:

Central Beach

The central beach is located on the Yeisk Peninsula, and this is practically another part of the city relative to the tourist area (Central on the map). You can get here by buses No. 2, 14 and 18 to the Central Beach stop, or by taxi from 100 rubles. Theoretically, you can get there by your own car, but there is very little parking space here, and you will have to leave the car in a paid parking lot for 300 rubles. You can park for free only on the side of the road along the Beach Street at your own risk, but usually everything is already occupied there in the morning.

The central beach is the best in Yeysk. There is clean yellow sand on the shore, mixed in places with small shells. The depth is small, but varies throughout, and it is quite possible to find places for swimming. The most developed part starts from the port and stretches for about 300 meters. There are most vacationers here, there are sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, a lot of entertainment, cafes and restaurants, a beach bar. Near the main entrance there is a park with attractions, a mini-water park, cafes and shops with tourist goods.

But at these 300 meters the beach does not end, but stretches further along the shore for almost one and a half kilometers to the end of the peninsula, but this is already a less developed and sparsely populated part without infrastructure and entertainment, but you can find conditional secluded places there.

The only bad thing about the Central Beach is that there is nowhere to live next to it. The fact is that there are very few accommodation options on the Yeisk Peninsula, mainly boarding houses and recreation centers, and there are no budget options at all. Therefore, you will have to take a bus or taxi here every time, as indicated above.

Youth Beach

Located at the tip of the Yeisk Peninsula (beach on the map). You can get here by bus No. 18 from the bus station and Gostiny Dvor bus stop. If you arrive by private car, you will have to pay 300 rubles for paid parking, so it's cheaper to take a taxi in both directions.

Molodezhny fully corresponds to its name – young people like to spend time here, there are few children and families. The main reason for this is a rather steep descent under the water and a large depth already a couple of meters from the shore. However, if you swim further than 50 meters from the shore, you will again find yourself on a shoal, but here the current is along the shore, so be careful. And it is also a favorite place for outdoor activities, windsurfing and kite surfing, for which equipment rental works, training is conducted. And catamaran excursions to the Island of Seven Winds and boat trips start from here.

The length of the youth beach is about 200 meters. Given the specifics and relative remoteness from the center, it is rarely crowded with vacationers. On the shore there is sand mixed with crushed shells. You can't call the water transparent, but it's the same in Yeysk almost everywhere. From the infrastructure there are sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, a bar and a cafe, and the already mentioned equipment rental.

Children's Beach

Located on the Yeisk Peninsula opposite the Central Beach (beach on the map). You can get there by buses No. 2, 14 and 18.

This is one of the most convenient beaches for relaxing with young children, although it does not have any special advantages compared to the Central One, except that there are fewer people here. But the depth here does not increase by a hundred meters or more, and there are rarely strong waves, which makes it safe.

It has a length of almost 600 meters, on which there is clean sand without stones, there are sun loungers and umbrellas, but very few. There is a cafe, the sale of draft drinks and fast food, but in general the infrastructure here is much less developed than on the Central One. For recreation with small children it is quite suitable, but for adults, because of the shallow depth, it is not a pleasure to swim.

Melyaki Beach

Melyaki Beach is located in the very center of the tourist district, where most of the tourist accommodation options are located, a pedestrian embankment, a Seaside park and all kinds of tourist entertainment ("Melyaki" on the map). It is also sometimes called a "Frogman". If you settle in this area, you can get to the beach on foot.

"Melyaki" fully corresponds to the name – it is very, very shallow here. It is so shallow that tourists settle down to rest on sandy islets-shoals tens of meters from the shore. Of course, there is no question of any swimming here: the place is suitable only for relaxing with kids, or if you just want to sunbathe.

There is yellow sand on the shore here. The infrastructure has everything you need, including a lot of entertainment right on the beach. These are trampolines, water slides, ATV rental. Even the water park is right on the beach. And also, a pedestrian embankment begins from the Melyakov district, but it is higher, since a cliff hangs along the entire coast here.

Kamenka Beach

Following the "Shoals" along the same shore, the Kamenka beach continues ("Kamenka" on the map). There is no clear border between them, but you will immediately feel the difference – there will be a pile of stones on the shore. What is bad, the stones are not only on the shore, but also under water. They are mostly small, but there are also large boulders. Moreover, these are not smooth pebbles, but unpleasant sharp stones. It is highly recommended to swim here in special beach shoes, and it is better not to swim at all. To enter the water, you need to look for paths cleared of stones or bridges over the water.

"Kamenka" stretches within the city, and continues on for many kilometers. Moreover, on the outskirts of the city and further directly to the shore, you can even drive up by car, although formally this is a violation. In the redevelopment of the city, a dirt embankment runs along the beach, and above the cliff there is an equipped pedestrian embankment with entertainment, attractions, etc. On the shore itself, there are sun loungers and umbrellas, changing cabins, toilets in places.

"Frogman" on the Yeisk spit

At the end of the Yeisk peninsula there is a small beach, closed from the waves and the waters of the sea by a small man-made spit (not Yeisk). You can get to it as well as to the Youth One by bus No. 18, taxi, or your own car, but you will have to leave the latter at a paid parking lot for 300 rubles ("Frog" on the map).

The "Frog House" is a great place to relax with children, as it is like a natural enclosed swimming pool. The depth here does not reach even a meter, so even the smallest children will be safe. There are sand, pebbles and stones on the shore in different places.

Beach on the estuary

We would not recommend choosing this beach for recreation at all. To be honest, it doesn't even turn the tongue to call it a beach - rather, it's just a shore. It has absolutely no infrastructure and is not equipped in any way, there is no entertainment and sun loungers. The water here is almost always muddy, there is no depth for a hundred meters or more. On the shore there is sand mixed with shells and pebbles, and in places there are sharp stones and huge boulders. There is a beach on the estuary on the shore of the bay (estuary) along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street (the beach on the map), and here, just a dozen meters from the shore, there is a railway, along which freight trains often run to the port.

Hotels and accommodation in Yeysk and where to stay

There are at least half a thousand accommodation facilities in Yeysk. Most of them are private guest houses and private apartments, but if desired, you can stay in hotels or holiday homes. There are only a few comfortable hotels with services and assigned "stardom", and you need to book them before the start of the season. Frequent accommodation and small guest houses with a minimum of amenities are available for booking before the trip itself, and can even be found on the spot upon arrival.

Prices in Yeysk are significantly more affordable compared to the Black Sea resorts, besides there are a lot of budget options here. You can stay in a guest house with minimal amenities from 300 rubles / person, and a room for two in the hotel will cost from 1000 rubles.

We recommend searching and booking accommodation in Yeysk in advance through the proven sites of the world's booking systems:
