1. Observation deck at the Cathedral of the Epiphany on Bauman Street
The Cathedral of the Epiphany of the Lord is located directly on thepedestrian street of Bauman, but most tourists are familiar only with the Epiphany bell tower made of red brick, which is one of the most recognizable symbols of Kazan. It is at the top of the bell tower that the most popular observation deck of the city is located. This is the only place from where you can see the historical part of the city from a bird's eye view. The entrance to the observation deck is paid, and money is collected for the purchase of bells. More about the cathedral and photos here.

2. Kremlin observation deck (free)
Behind the Annunciation Cathedral of the Kazan Kremlin is an excellent observation deck, which offers a wonderful view of the city, the river, the palace of farmers and the Church of Paraskeva Friday. This is the only free viewing room from our rating, and therefore we put it in second place. For a fee of 10 rubles, you can explore the city through binoculars. In general, we recommend visiting this place twice, in the afternoon and in the evening with the arrival of darkness. The views are wonderful, and for night photography it is better to take a tripod with you.

3. Observation deck in the Kremlin's Preobrazhenskaya Tower
A relatively new attraction and entertainment works in the Transfiguration Tower of the Kazan Kremlin. Now you can climb to the very top and look at the Kremlin and the surrounding area through the eyes of the watchers who watched the approach of the enemy to the fortress. At the base of the tower there is a gift shop and a ticket office for selling tickets to the top. The observation deck itself is closed (with a roof) and stylized in the old days, and the review is made through viewing windows. Read more about the observation deck in the Preobrazhenskaya Tower here.

The wedding palace or Family Center "Kazan" is a modern architectural landmark of Kazan, which appeared in 2013. The unusual structure, sparkling with copper, is perfectly visible from almost any point of the embankment, and it is located on the peninsula opposite the Kremlin. You can not only explore this unique building from the outside, but also climb to the observation deck on the roof. From there there is a wonderful view of the Kremlin, the historical part of the city and the Kazanka River. True, all this you will observe from afar from the other side of the river. It is better to climb, of course, in good clear weather. Read more about the wedding palace and photos here.

5. Ferris wheel "around the world"
The new Kazan Ferris wheel "Around the world" is located next to the Riviera Water Park and is part of the Kazan Riviera entertainment complex. You can visit it separately from other attractions of the complex, and as most of the tourists who have ridden on the wheel respond, it is worth coming here. Its height is 65 meters, which is approximately the height of a 28-storey building, and it is 10 meters higher than the old wheel in the park "Kyrlay". The booths are new, modern, closed, with transparent walls. From above you will see the non-tourist areas of the city on the Right Bank of the Kazanka River, Ak Bars Arena, Millennium Bridge, and in the distance the Kremlin and the historical district. For a significantly lower fee compared to the wheel, you can go up to the 25th floor of the hotel, where from a height of 100 meters (at least so stated, Although it seems to us that the height there is less) you can look at the non-tourist areas of the city on the Right Bank of the Kazanka River, Ak Bars Arena, Millennium Bridge, and in the distance the Kremlin and the historical district. The Ascent is carried out on a high-speed silent elevator.
