Three cauldrons in New Athos – it's a natural landmark, shallow wells formed by water in solid rock. The water in the riverbed for millions of years washed the softer rock in the stone, forming a number of three reservoirs-pools with a diameter of about 5 meters and a depth of no more than a meter each. The river is no longer there, it has dried up, but the pools are filled with cool water flowing down from the mountains, and you can swim in them. In the absence of rain, the streams dry up, and it is not possible to swim, so before buying tickets, check whether there is water in the boilers.
The two most visited cauldrons are next to each other, and the third is a little further away, and not everyone gets to it, so they sometimes like to bathe in what the mother gave birth to. three boilers are located outside the city about three kilometers from the center (three cauldrons on the map). Walking can be reached in about one hour. You can also get there by car, there is a paid parking of 100 rubles. After paying for the entrance, you will need to go down to the boilers and the river on a rather extreme rock, holding on to the rope for several meters down.
