Stalin's dacha on Lake Ritsa - one of about twenty dachas of the Generalissimo, which operated throughout the former USSR, and is believed to have been one of his favorites. This is not surprising, because it is located on the shore of Ritsa lakes surrounded by beautiful green mountains. Today, any tourist can visit this place as a historical landmark.
The cottage was built in 1947, and, contrary to expectations, from the outside it is far from a palace, but a fairly simple – looking house, although an impressive area of 500 square meters. The area around is also rustic, without sculptures and a beautiful garden. Inside, the house is also decorated simply, although rare expensive woods are used, and the furniture is custom-made specifically for the small stature of the leader. To provide the dacha and related buildings with electricity, a small Acetuk hydroelectric power station was even built nearby.
It can not be said that Stalin's dacha is a must – visit place, because there is not much to see here, and the architecture is quite unremarkable. But with a good guide, the tour of the dacha becomes unexpectedly exciting: it tells about the life of the leader, the peculiarities of his character, habits and countries. You can learn a lot of very interesting things that are not written in history textbooks. Usually the dacha is visited together with Lake Ritsa and other attractions of the Ritsa National Park.

150 rubles, including excursion support. Since the cottage is located on the territory of Ritsa National Reserve you will also have to pay an environmental fee at the first entrance to the Reserve checkpoint: adults – 350 rubles; children 8-12 years old – 150 rubles; children under 8 years old – free of charge.

the cottage is located on the shore of Lake Ritsa (Stalin's dacha on the map. You can get there with an excursion to Lake Ritsa, many of which include its visit in their itinerary, but the entrance and excursion will have to be paid separately. You can also drive yourself to Lake Ritsa and cottages by car, the distance from Gagra is 60 kilometers.
