Description and is it worth visiting
Thien Mu Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) - this is one of the main attractions of Hue and at the same time the unofficial symbol of the city. The pagoda has 7 levels, each of which symbolizes a stage of Buddha's reincarnation. It is the tallest pagoda in Vietnam, its height is 21 meters. The hill on which it stands makes the pagoda even taller.
Originally, the temple on whose territory the pagoda is located was founded in 1601. At that time it was a very simple and small temple, but later, by order of rulers, it was repeatedly altered and reconstructed.
Today the temple territory is quite impressive and includes several buildings, a garden with bonsai trees, and a park with benches. A tourist market has formed near the temple, and on the bank of the Perfume River nearby there is a pier where sightseeing boats with tourists dock. Half an hour is enough to see the entire complex.
🕐 Opening hours
Daily from 8:00 to 17:00. From 11:30 to 14:00, part of the complex is closed, as the monks are having lunch at this time.
💵 Entrance fee / ticket price
