Langbiang Mountain or Langbiang (Lang Biang Mountain) is the highest peak in Dalat, as well as an excellent and most popular place for easy one-day hiking in the area. The mountain is located on the territory of the national park, consists of three peaks: Radar Peak (1929 m), Ba peak (2167 m) and Ong Peak (2124 m). In fact, only 2 vertices are visited: Radar (peak Radar on the map) and Ba (Ba peak on the map). Moreover, they usually just ride jeeps on the Radar, and walk to the peak of Ba. There are viewing platforms on the peaks with excellent views of the beautiful surroundings of Dalat.
Getting to the mountain and climbing is very easy on your own. We went by ourselves, and we'll tell you everything below. But if you are not ready yourself, you can use the services of local guides or order a ready-made individual hiking tour.
How to visit Langbyan
Since Langbyan Mountain is part of the national park, the entrance here is paid. Here everything is well and clearly organized for visiting, there is an information center with parking and ticket offices, routes are equipped. But to be honest, a lot of confusion about her visit is contributed by reviews and bloggers who have not fully figured out the situation and write only about one way of visiting from their experience, they want everything to be a little more complicated here.
So, there are two main routes and points to conquer Langbiang. Both start from the information center with ticket offices (information center and entrance on the map). Here you need to pay for admission, and then follow one of the route options. This is the only official entrance, there are no others!!!

The route to Radar Peak
Radar Peak is the most popular point of the "conquerors" of the mountain, because it is easier to get to it. It is about her that most bloggers and reviews write, not even suspecting about another peak, thereby only confusing everything more. At the Peak of the Radar, everything is equipped: there is a photo zone, a restaurant, and recreation areas. In general, there is a civilization.
A good asphalt road leads to the Radar from the parking lot at the information center. But you can not move on your own transport. You can either walk or take the local jeeps of the park. Jeeps are not a divorce, but official visiting rules, and it's up to you to decide whether to go or walk.
Parking with jeeps and taxis on Langbyan A jeep ride is just the main way for tourists to climb up. Of course, there is no smell of hiking and nature here, but you will conquer this peak quickly and conveniently. Lifting by car or a Russian UAZ 120,000 VND per person in both directions.
Walking from the parking lot to the Radar is 4 kilometers with a climb of 460 meters, it's about an hour and a half at a good pace, or 2-3 hours in a calm. To be honest, we didn't like this walking route at all, because it runs mostly along the asphalt, so we only went part of the way and didn't even go to the Radar.

Ba Peak Route (Ba Peak or Longbian Peak)
Peak Ba is already a real hiking. There is an equipped trail leading to Ba, and there is no civilization at the top, except for the observation deck itself. In our opinion, this route is much more interesting than Radar, and there are practically no tourists here. It will take 2 hours to climb, 4-5 hours for the whole hike with rest at the top.
From the information center to the Peak of Ba there are two trails of 4 or 5 kilometers with a set of 700 meters. For the passage through it, you will also have to pay for the entrance to the national park without fail. And let's just say for those who want to go through the "hare" not through the main entrance that there is an intermediate ticket control, which cannot be bypassed in any way.
So, a more gentle and long trail of 5 km. It starts from the main parking lot of the information center and goes along the asphalt road to Radar Peak. After three kilometers, there will be a sign on it and a branch to the right for additional ticket control (turn to peak and additional ticket control on the map). From here, along a well-marked trail, you will finally get to the peak.
Main entrance and short route Another route also starts from the information center, but after buying tickets you need to go not through the main entrance on the asphalt, but along the dirt path to the right of the entrance. If you don't figure it out, ask for a short route, they'll show you everything. There, after 560 meters, there will be a left turn on the road through the fields (turn left on the map). By the way, you can even go there by motorbike or car to shorten the walking distance, but you will have to leave the transport right on the side of the road unattended, but you decide for yourself. We left the motorcycle in the parking lot at the cafe near the information center, and did not regret it at all.
From this turn, you will get through the coffee fields forest and the forest again to the intermediate ticket control point, which we wrote about above, and then to the top.
On Yandex Map Editor in the Organic Maps apps, Maps.me and others have an even more direct way to the top, i.e. when you do not go left into the fields at this turn, but go straight. But you don't need to walk like that, the path is collapsed and dangerous there.
Whichever option you choose to climb Ba peak, the last tens of meters on the climb are very steep, the soil is clayey and sometimes slippery, you have to cling to suspended ropes. But, of course, it's worth it. And the surrounding landscapes impress and delight.

Useful information to visit
- Information is posted at the main entrance of the information center that the entrance to the Ba Peak trail is temporarily closed. In fact, this is not true and you can safely follow it. Probably, they are trying to breed tourists so that they don't even try to walk a meek path on their own, bypassing the ticket office.
- It is forbidden to move around the national park on your own transport.
- Visiting with dogs is prohibited.
- For a walk, use hiking or sportive shoes, and if possible, take trekking poles.
- In rainy weather, the trail blurs and it will be difficult to walk, and such a walk will not bring pleasure, so keep an eye on the weather and avoid hiking at such a time. In any case, take raincoats, the weather can change quickly and unexpectedly.
- The best time to climb is before 13:00, and after 14:00 and in rainy weather, entry to the route to the summit is officially prohibited.
🕐 Working hours
Daily, from 7:00 to 17:00. It is forbidden to enter the Ba Peak trail after 14:00.
💵Entrance fee / ticket price
Access to the National Park on any of the two routes adults – 50 000 VND (1.9 USD, see the currency of Vietnam); children from 100 cm to 120 cm tall - 25,000 VND. Lifting by car or UAZ 120 000 VND (4.56 USD) per person in both directions.
🚶 How to get there
The entrance to Langbiang Mountain, the information center and parking at the beginning of the routes are located about 14 kilometers from the center of Dalat (information center and entrance on the map). Recall that this Information Center is the only official entrance to the routes and tickets are bought here. It can be reached by rented transport, taxi or with an excursion. Parking on the territory of the information center costs 10,000 VND. You can also park at one of the cafes in front of the entrance. We agreed in a cafe and left it for free without any problems, although in some reviews there was information that they were asking for from 5000 VND.
There is also a bus coming here from the Dalat bus station for 9,000 VND, but we don't have any information about the schedule, find out on the spot.
Further from the information center, you can get to one of the peaks on foot or by jeep, as described above.
