Description and is it worth a visit
Lady Buddha Temple Cao Dai Temple in Dalat is one of the largest and most important temples in Vietnam that profess the Caodai religion. A beautiful building with many bright details in architecture attracts attention. It is very different from the usual Buddhist temples. Although the place is not popular with tourists, but if you like low-tourist places, be sure to visit. Moreover, it is located just a few minutes drive from perhaps the most popular and grandiose temple in Dalat, Linh Phuc Pagoda (Chùa Linh pHước), their visits can be combined.
Dalat Cao Dai Temple was founded by the parish in 1938, and the modern building was built only in 2010. The temple has undergone many periods of oblivion, because this religion has not been officially recognized for a long time. But today the solemn and calm atmosphere reigning inside the temple is impressive.
The building has three towers, two of them, which are located at the entrance, can be climbed. There is a view of the surroundings from there, and you can also go inside the main hall and see it from above. The interior is modest, there is no infinite number of statues, but at the same time colorful and simple.
Kaodai is a mixture of Buddhism, Catholicism, Confucianism, Taoism. All followers of this religion are advised to wear white clothes and observe strict commandments. A feature and symbol of worship in the kaodai temples is the image of a large eye in a triangle with diverging rays in different directions - the heavenly eye. This symbol can be found on the facades and on the altar of the shrine.
