Description and is it worth a visit
Lankatilake Temple is a beautiful and large temple that is both Buddhist and Hindu. It was built in the XIV century initially as a Buddhist, but over time there was a sanctuary of the god Vishnu, dividing the temple into two parts that peacefully coexist. It is located in a very beautiful place on top of a low cliff, from the observation deck of which there are good views of the village surroundings, rice fields and mountains. The very structure of the temple is quite large, as well as its significance for believers. The architecture is Sinhalese, with admixtures of Indochinese elements.
