Bingin and Chemongkak beaches and is it worth going here
Bingin and Cemongkak (Bingin and Cemongkak Beach) are two different beaches, but since both are on the same shore, we will tell you about both of them at once. Moreover, they are also similar, and accessible from the same parking point. By the way, this place is also called Hidden beach (Hidden, hidden), perhaps because the beaches are really hidden from view from the outside, because they are located under a steep high cliff.
Bingin and Chemongkak are located 20 kilometers from the airport and the center of Kuta (Bingin on the map), and it's an hour away by taxi or rented transport, because the road here is very winding and complicated, and there are often traffic jams. Well, you can only get here by your own transport or taxi. When you get there, you can park your motorbike or car in the parking lot for 5000 rupees or for free on the streets in the village, and then go down to the beach 5 minutes on foot via steep stairs.
There is a lot to tell about these two beaches, because they are unsuitable for swimming, and just relaxing on the shore here is also a dubious pleasure. The coast here is very rocky, and these are not just stones, but a real rock with shells, look for yourself in the photo below. There are also algae on the bottom in places, in which the feet get tangled, and the stones become slippery, so be careful when entering the water.
Bingin is notable only for the fact that it looks unusually picturesque, and does not resemble Bali at all, but rather the Mediterranean, for example Cyprus or Greece. And yet, there is a very unusual coarse sand, like millet (see photo). If you go further along the shore from Bingin to the right, you will get to Chemongkak beach, which is also very rocky and not suitable for swimming, and will be interesting except for lovers of sunbathing topless.
In general, in our opinion, Bingin and Chemongkak are beaches not to come here to swim, but a location for beautiful photos or if you just want to enjoy dinner with a glass of wine or a beer in a restaurant on the shore.
As such, there is no tourist area near the beaches of Bingin and Chemongkak, but it is also impossible to say that this is a complete wilderness. There is a village on the shore, where there are shops and cafes, and when you go to the beach, there is even a currency exchange.
How to get to Bingin and Cemongkak (Bingin and Cemongkak Beach)
Bingin and Chemongkak are located 20 kilometers from the airport and the center of Kuta (Bingin on the map), and it's an hour away by taxi or rented transport, because the road here is very winding and complicated, and there are often traffic jams. Well, you can only get here by your own transport or taxi.
There is a parking lot in the village (parking on the map), where they ask for 5,000 for a motorcycle and 10,000 for a car. From it to the beach you need to take an intricate route along narrow streets and signs to the stairs, and then down 5 minutes. Theoretically, you can ride a motorcycle closer to the stairs and park somewhere near the houses. But judging by the reviews, the mores of the locals are not very accommodating and tourists say that they can damage transport. Oh, we did not check, but left the motorcycle in a paid parking lot, which we also advise you.
When you go down the stairs to the shore, there will be Bingin to your left, and if you walk along the shore to the right a few hundred meters, you will get to Chemongkak. You can also get to Chemongkak from the other side along the shore from Drimbich Beach.
