Dreamland Beach (DreamLand beach) is another beach in the chain on the western shore of the Bukit Peninsula, this is the south of Bali (Dreamland on the map). It is considered fashionable and very cool for recreation, at least such advertising descriptions are found in the guidebooks of travel agencies that sell tours here. And, apparently, such advertising works, because a lot of Russian-speaking tourists really rest here. But what is actually:
In fact, the beach here, although beautiful in appearance, in our estimation, deserves only a C plus for a beach holiday. First of all, it is unexpectedly crowded for such a remote and isolated place. There is a very slight slope of the bottom and almost no depth. At low tide for swimming you need to go far, but the problem is also that there are a lot of stones at the bottom, which are just exposed at low tide.
An even bigger problem is strong waves, which often form just off the coast, and almost knock you off your feet when you try to go deep or get out. And it seems that since there are big waves, it means there will be at least excellent conditions for surfing. We didn't see any surfers here, and in general, because waves form only near the shore. But nevertheless there is a surf school here, called RAMBO.
And finally, the entrance here is paid – 10,000 rupees per person (0.56 USD), and 5,000 for parking a motorcycle (0.28 USD). Beach chairs are also expensive - 150 000 - 200 000 rupees (8.41 USD).
Of course, throughout the Dreamland, and it stretches for at least a kilometer, and then also goes to the next beach Bingin (Bingin Beach), you can find places to swim a little deeper and with a less rocky bottom and without waves. And the waves off the coast and for surfing depend on the weather and tides, it's all true. Nevertheless, our personal opinion is that Dreamland is clearly not worth coming here for a day break from other areas, especially for money, because there are places closer and better. Even in the same Kuta, it is easier to walk along the coast further north towards Legian and Seminyak than to go here.
Well, to stay here in a hotel for recreation is out of the question, because you will find yourself far from the center of all resort life and on a so-so beach. However, it's up to you, of course.
And now about the area or resort itself. Again, to be honest, there is no district as such, but there are several hotels with their own territory. Accordingly, your whole life here will take place on their territory or on the beach. There's nowhere to even go for a walk in the evening. We did not see any motorcycle rental, shops, or currency exchange here. There are exclusively tourist cafes and restaurants with high prices, a gallery of souvenir shops at the exit to the beach, and nothing else.
How to get to Dreamland Beach (DreamLand Beach)
Dreamland is located on the western shore of the Bukit Peninsula, this is the south of Bali, 20 kilometers from the airport and Kuta area (Dreamland on the map). Despite the short distance, it takes almost an hour to drive here due to difficult roads and traffic jams.
Motorcycle parking costs 5000 rupees, it is located behind the Klapa Resort Hotel at the end of Pantai Dreamland Street. You can park for free on the hill to the left of the beach, but it's a long detour past the Taman Asih Bingin Guesthouse and along the dirt road. But in the reviews they write that the locals there damage the motorbikes of tourists. In the same place, after Taman Asih Bingin Guesthouse there is another paid parking if you can not drive to the hotel.
You can take a taxi from the airport, Kuta or Denpasar for 100,000 rupees when ordering through applications. But as often happens in Bali, aggregators' cars may not be allowed to get to the beach, you will have to walk. You can go back by private taxis that are on duty in the parking lot, but they ask twice as much.

Near Dreamland there are several large hotels with a territory where tourists are taken, including on tours. There are no budget options at all, the minimum price for a room is from $ 25, but most hotels cost from $ 50.
